I stopped in kind of late on a Friday and only had drinks so I may not have the total picture of this place but I was still very impressed. The bartenders were very nice and helpful. They are clearly very talented. The menu had many very creative and tasty drinks. The place is very cute and I love how they embraced the original character and decorations. If I lived nearby I would totally hang out here.

Well I wish I could write more but I came here at 10:18 on a Wednesday night and the doors were locked. I get a last call a half hour from closing, but 42 minutes?? Super disappointed, but stars for the awesome decor, lighting, space, and general vibe.

I had been to the bar before because of the ambiance (cocktails are okay and I dealt with the neglectful customer service). I had been there so many times before with friends but this time I wanted to show my fiancé the bar and I deeply regret that decision. As soon as we walked in we waited standing by the door for like 5mins before being acknowledged by the host. When host finally acknowledged us he offered us a high top table. I refused to sit there since I've sat there in the past and it's the most uncomfortable seating (specially because I have back problems). I asked the host nicely and he refused to sit us in 4 different booths that were available. I understand that you want to reserve for larger parties but it was a Friday night at 10pm and it was pretty much dead. You might want to invest in some more comfortable seats since I see several reviews complaining about the same issue. We ended up walking out and we're not planning to go back again! Overall horrible experience!

Came here for a friends birthday party on a Saturday night and didn't know that Downtown Santa Ana had such a cool place! I was greeted by a friendly girl who took me back to the party area. I was the first one to arrive and I was carrying presents when this man who I found out was the owner George approached me and said " You here for Hannah's party?" I immediately felt very comfortable. I thought , how cool is this place?! My other friends started trickling in and the vibe was set. George conversed about what he had planned for us. Oh my goodness ! That man can COOK! We had fries and some yummy dipping sauce and simple salad that was out of this world, then these wieners with a special yogurt/dill dipping sauce then some pizzas. I've never seen everyone in our group eat so much . Then let's talk about the libations, from virgin drinks to fully loaded drinks, can you say " YUM" !! The bartenders were all SO NICE! There's games up at the bar also . We took them back to our table and played drinking jenga and some hook game. I think you should check this place out. I'm going back soon.

Vacation Bar is one of the best bars in Santa Ana. They have unique drinks created with thought and love developed by real mixologists. The ambiance is loungy, but not pretentious. Modern yet comfortable and the music is always spot on. The staff! What great individuals! Everyone is meant to be there. They make this place a place you wanna hang. We have been periodically and decided we must go more often. Cheers!

Cutest bar in this uprising neighborhood! Love the vibe and design and simplicity of the menu. Parking situation: limited street parking.. we were there on a Saturday and it was not that bad. Service: they were nice but it took a long time to get our 1st drink. I think if you go order at the bar is better experience. The have limited food menu which we didn't try but it looked good. Overall this place is pretty upscale and we will come back!

Chill atmosphere. The drinks were a bit pricey but they were some of the best cocktails I've had. The Karaage chicken was good and the pieces were big. It wasn't busy so the service was fast

We always have such a great time at Vacation Bar in downtown Santa Ana! The welcoming and instagramable ambiance is always nice. The cocktails and pizzas are delish!! We also get excellent service every time we go (Jared the bar manager is fantastic)! Highly recommend checking out this bar next time you're in the area!

My first time here but I had a bad experience, everything was fine except that a waitress did not serve well, we felt discriminated against, she took away the menu and we were going to order more, she didn't even say anything, she just grabbed it from the table and brought it to her, that was enough for me. no longer come back.Santa Ana is full of bars.

Maybe a mistake on my part but we went to happy hour and were given a menu that we ordered off of, assuming it was the happy hour menu because we weren't told otherwise. Then we get drinks, get the receipt, and they were full priced drinks. We weren't told there was a separate happy hour menu. Maybe I should have clarified or asked. Anyway, I believe the happy hour menu is all night on Wednesdays, so it would've been nice if the server mentioned that to us. The drinks are pricey. Left spending almost $40 for 2 drinks. Ambiance is good, so I wish I didn't leave feeling tricked. I know their job is to make money but honesty helps bring people back. It may have been an honest mistake but idk ‍

Love the vibe of the bar. Bummed they changed their old drink menu. The old menu had awesome drinks named after cities. Now the drinks feel like you are on Spring Break somewhere. Still ok. Food and service was great.

I had an incredible time at Vacation Bar in downtown Santa Ana! It's easily one of the best bar experiences I've had. The drinks were expertly crafted and surprisingly affordable. The bartenders were not only skilled but also super friendly, which made the experience even better. My visit coincided with their happy hour, and the $5 pizzas were such a good surprise! My boyfriend and I couldn't stop talking about how delicious they were. The dough was perfection, and the quality of the ingredients truly shone through. We're definitely making Vacation Bar a regular spot because we want to explore everything on their menu. Highly recommend this place for good vibes and a fantastic night out!
