I stopped into The Wursthaus during a quick lunch break from the Santa Ana Courthouse, and I was absolutely blown away! This place is a true gem and the perfect quick escape.
The Food: The bratwurst (Wurst) was absolutely fantastic—a perfect, high-quality meal. A major highlight was the pretzel bun, which was soft, fresh, and absolutely perfect.
The Drinks: They had a seriously impressive selection of several unique beers on tap from overseas. For beer enthusiasts, this alone makes the Wurst Haus worth the visit.
The Service & Atmosphere: The service was fast and efficient (crucial for a lunch break), and the staff was friendly. The atmosphere was welcoming, making for a great dining experience.
Location, Location, Location:
The location is ideal, especially if you are dealing with business at the courthouse or planning to catch a movie at the Frida Cinema (it's right next door!).
Next time I'm down in the area, I will definitely make sure to give myself extra time so I can drop in and enjoy another absolutely fantastic meal and explore more of their tap list. Highly recommended!

Ate here last week. Perfection. OCFA crew came in, ordered, then got an emergency call. Head fire guy directs crew to pull rig around. Then he waits for the dogs! When food came out, they hit the siren and left. Heroes. Every one of ‘em.
While my husband is not vegan, I am and although he does show his solidarity by joining me a vegan restaurants it’s nice to find a place that caters to the both of us. I ordered the vegan schnitzel with red cabbage, and German fries. The vegan schnitzel was not that exciting and almost more Italian tasting. Next time I’m definitely ordering the Curry wurst! All in all the place had a good vibe, pretty good food, and a great selection of beer. Would definitely go again!
Broken sewere line permeated the entire place. You have to sit outside for no matter how hot it is.

They were out of all the flavors I wanted to try. Seriously, like half of their entire selection was out. Even when we adjusted our selections to ones that were available, the server came out to tell us they were out of even more flavors. It was a Sunday afternoon over labor day weekend, but honestly it wasn't busy and there were only 2 or 3 other patrons there so I don't understand how they ran out of so many options. Place was nearly empty.
Anyway, we ordered the sampler platter and the big German pretzel. The sampler was good. The big German pretzel was NOT a pretzel, it was more like bread that was baked and salted on top to try and resemble a pretzel. It wasn't bad, but I wanted an actual pretzel so it just wasn't my expectation.
There were multiple kids there which ruined the vibe. I don't think kids should be at this brewery, it's dark, there's condiments and utensils and stuff laying out that they can get into and make a mess. Overall just doesn't seem like the type of place to bring kids.
I liked all the mustard sauces but they need little dipping cups or something, so we don't have to just put mustard on our serving trays or directly on the food.
The beer and alcoholic drinks were very good! I loved the Strawberry one.

I stood in line for at least 5 minutes at the counter while 2 employees failed to acknowledge my presence. They completely ignored me. Wallet out ready to spend money! After 5 minutes of being completely ignored despite standing at the register I decided to leave. Service was terrible. It's a shame because I've had the food here before and it's really good. I would not go back until they get their act together. If the owner needs to hire more people, they can do so. Please don't spend your money here and I can't believe they have the audacity to ask for tips after ignoring customers standing at the register for a long time.
Phenomenal Food and Menu!!!
So many different flavors of sausages and they were beyond! Generous selection of toppings and Fries that were to die for. Family-friendly with Street parking, reasonably priced, chill environment, reasonable wait time ( long enough to know that they're making the food fresh but quick enough for folks on the go)
They hook it up with all the mustard flavors you can imagine and fresh made dipping sauces as well

Rude staff, lots of playing with phones. Pretzel bun was scorching hot, not sure why.

Wursthaus – Santa Ana | 5 Stars
This place is a hidden gem for fry lovers and sausage aficionados alike! I recently visited Wursthaus in Santa Ana and was blown away by the quality and flavor of everything I ordered.
I went with their loaded fries, topped with savory grilled onions and a tangy house sauce that added a rich, creamy kick. The fries were hand-cut, perfectly crisp on the outside, and fluffy inside—clearly made fresh. But the real highlight was the side tray of gourmet toppings: vinegary marinated onions, spicy jalapeños, sautéed mushrooms, sweet caramelized onions, and vibrant grilled peppers. Each one was full of flavor and elevated the fries to something truly special.
The presentation was fun and casual, and the portions were generous. It’s the kind of place where you can mix, match, and build your perfect plate.
Wursthaus has a great atmosphere with a European beer hall vibe, and the staff was friendly and quick to serve. Whether you’re there for sausages, brews, or epic fries—this spot delivers.
Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in downtown Santa Ana!

Went for lunch today. Staff was constantly on their phone behind the counter. Took up my entire lunch hour waiting for food.
Wouldn't recommend.
