What a lovely place to have a delicious snack! The decor is charming and the desserts are wonderful. Highly recommend.
This place is the best! I love the crystal lighting, fresh floral bouquets, scrumptious cuisine and coffee. I had an almond croissant, which was lightly sweetened and so delicious. But, what makes this place the very best is the amazing service. You can tell that the staff really enjoy working here! Alessia has a lot be proud of, for creating such a wonderful place in Santa Barbara to enjoy the finer things in life: Family, friendship, and croissants, ofcourse!!! Kudos to Katie (I hope I spelled your name correctly) for making me feel so welcome. You all gave me the best service that I've had in quite a while. THANK YOU!
The staff ruined it. We came for the croissants and left with this incredible lemon tart. Croissants were decent but not as good as reviews made it sound like. But that lemon tart was incredible. I’ll happily give them that. But like I mentioned, staff ruined it.
We stopped in from a road trip because it looked nice and it had good reviews. We had a small bag we were looking to throw away (literally a ziplock bag with two napkins inside) and asked if we could throw it away at the trash can. The manager gave the heaviest eye roll and said “just this one time!” and huffed as she walked by. Whoa.
Then the guy behind the counter was the strongest mix of condescending and rude. Grabbed pastries we mentioned and asked for latte’s. He asked if we wanted them iced or hot, I answered iced, and we waited.
He made them hot and I, knowing I said iced, apologized a few times and said I believe I asked for iced and sorry if I misspoke.
He acted like I slapped him. We remade them after a few snarky remarks, then we said thank you and said bye and thank you. Then my wife said it. Then my daughter said it. He ignored all three. Realizing he was ignoring us for the audacity over iced lattes I said goodbye to the other worker behind the counter instead and she gave a sort of apologetic look and wave as we left. She was nice, at least.
But man…the manager. Take it easy on paying customers. The guy behind the counter, we were kind and pleasant the whole time just out having a nice Father’s Day family road trip. There was zero reason to be so rude and purposefully ignore us. Do better.
Alessia’s was the only bad part of the otherwise really great weekend. Too bad. Maybe we caught everyone on a bad day? At least the pastries were good. Again, the lemon tart was amazing. Wish the people were nicer.
Delicious! One dish can easily be shared by 2 people.
They offer both indoor and outdoor seating.
Outdoor seating is dog friendly.
Missed lunch cut off but had a delicious Hazelnut latte with adorable cat foam art and a Hazelnut Cinnamon Roll and Almond Croissant that were both so delicious we ended up getting two more Almond Croissants to share with family. We also got a Mocha to go which was tasty but we definitely prefer the latte. We will be coming back to try their lunch options! Welcoming staff, excellent service and a cute space!
My favorite special treat breakfast and dessert place. Menu is well-thought, dishes well-executed, pastries/desserts/entremets are complex Laudrée-like creations. Staff is great. Wish there would be more places like that.
Very good selection but one orders at the counter then finds a seat. In this case we were just able to snag an outside table. The potato leak soup was the best I've had and then grilled cheese was outstanding.
Delicious pastries and lunch items. Desserts look and taste like works of art. Lunch order include avocado toast with smoked salmon, roast beef sandwich, and crab crepes. The only minor issue is sometimes service can be a bit slow.
I love Aleesia! The food is so good. The staff is friendly. The place is clean and lovely. Please note, Tuesdays thru Friday, there is no table service and one must order and pay at the cashier's counter. That being said, everyone is helpful and friendly, but there is no sign alerting you to that fact. I took my Mom and Dad for their birthdays and they both felt like they were royalty.
If you are undecided about what bakery item to buy, please try the multi-layered Chocolate Crunch item ($15) so worth it!!!
They are located on Canon Perdido across from the Presido (historical momument). Give them a try. The food is divine!
Space was really tight, chairs were uncomfortable and the order takes a good while to be served! Food was great though but the wait is long!

Marvelous. Have had afternoon tea here several times. Lovely. Great food, superb service. Reservations a must. Allow time to find parking. Downtown Santa Barbara can get busy.

This isnt to hate or anything but I think I need fo share the fact that I got food poisoning from this restaurant. I really never would have thought that this place would have caused it but it was the only thing I had eaten all day. I just think this place needs to be more careful on what they feed people.
