Awesome 👍😎
Best Indian food at Santa Barbara
My favorite restaurant in SB! Such good quality food, fast service, friendly staff. I love their Nirvana with tofu, and chana masala. Everything is always so fresh and delicious 👏🏽❤️
Really good food, very spicy vindaloo which I love.
Even if you have only rise with the lentils DAL you will be surprised from the richness of flavors.
We really enjoyed the Malay Cofta,
The cheese NAN was delicious.
Don’t forget to ask for yogurt to ease up the heat
For dessert we had Golab Jamo which is sweet hot balls in an aromatic sweet sauce full of spices , it was great.
Babli is the best server .. she’s very nice cool and genuine!
One of the best restaurants in Santa Barbara’s County! Service was great and took great care of us. Bubly was the best, best server and made sure the kitchen knew of our food allergy. 10/10 recommend!!
Best Indian food in Santa Barbara! We love the nirvana style tofu and chicken and garlic cheese naan of course
Amazing food, even better service! Highly recommend, best Indian food I’ve ever had.
Absolutely fantastic premium Indian food. I’ve never had Indian food this good. Fresh and high quality ingredients and everything is extremely authentic. You can tell the cooks know good Indian food. Fabulous outdoor patio and real Indian drinks like Lassi, Indian Lemonades, Sodas etc. Didn’t have room for dessert but I’m sure it’s good. The Lamb Korma and crab cakes and garlic cheese naan are out of this world! Best Indian you will ever eat pretty sure. Enjoy! Friendly and efficient service with a smile too! Thanks Apna!

Restaurantji Recommends
I was disheartened by my recent dining experience at Apna Indian Kitchen. Despite the restaurant not being crowded, the understaffing was apparent. The slow service and vague descriptions of dishes led to overly sweet meals that were a far cry from the flavorful cuisine I expected. Given the restaurant's high ratings, the quality of the food, service, and value was disappointing. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking a satisfying Indian meal.

While we enjoyed some dishes, we were pretty disappointed with others. The gobi manchurian was cold, dry, and way over-fried. The malai kofta was tasty, but seemed to be based primarily on tomato cream sauce instead of the more usual cashew base. The setting on outside State St tables is very nice.

This is my absolute favorite place in Santa Barbara. The food is so good, the staff is very friendly, and the outdoor seating and pretty cutlery facilitate a great ambience. If Inder is your server, you’re in luck; he’s a great energy—extremely friendly!
