Part of my duck was raw. I told someone who said that they would inform the kitchen. No one ever said addressed it. They just brought out the bill like nothing happened. After I paid I addresses it privately with the server, letting him know that I was disappointed that no one would even apologize for the mistake. He kept trying to give me something free and I told him that I didn't want that. I just wanted him to hear that I was disappointed that no one addressed it and that I had to bring it back up myself. His manager came and asked what the issue was. When he told him, he tried telling me that if it was a little red, it's because they serve it medium rare. This was frustrating because I asked for the duck medium rare. I informed him that I always order duck breast medium rare, and that whole most of it was cooked well, the final piece was completely raw. I couldn't believe that instead of acknowledging the mistake (especially when I wasn't arguing and even kept telling the waiter that these things happens sometimes, and I just would have hoped someone addressed it) they would treat me like I just don't know how duck is supposed to be cooked.

Patio was great ambiance the set up was beautiful!!! The service was slow and frustrating. Management was uncaring about the party guest arguing about a chair and that she didn’t count with disabled chairs coming in to the reservations , not tact or sensitivity to special needs !!! Very disappointed with her approach and delivery

We stopped in here just because our son was hungry and it was the first place we saw. Such a treat. The outdoor seating in the back had olive trees with strings of lights, rosemary and thyme growing next to the tables, and a gorgeous fireplace. Oliver, our server, was knowledgeable, engaging, and efficient. Definitely recommend it.

This place is a gem of Santa Barbara! The service was impeccable & the food was delicious. We particularly loved the short rib & the queso paired with the blackberry margarita. The patio is super dreamy. Highly recommend!

Our 2nd year anniversary this afternoon and we've been wanting to try azul for a while now... it's quaint street side patio opens upto an amazingly large courtyard and main dining area, with spot on interior design adorned with visually stunning tile flooring and culinary adornments, so well done even I'm impressed.... onto the food.. what can I say but after 10 years here it is my new favorite establishment for gastronomic heaven. I could go on for days about the fajitas and halibut we had but hopefully the pictures will do it justice. Whether you come for lunch or a romantic dinner anniversary you will not be disappointed!.... see ya in the courtyard!.. updated.. daughters 21st birthday today .. her and her 2 bestie were thoroughly impressed as I knew they would be.. same great food and service as usual.. I'll let the photos soak for themselves

We had our wedding dinner here it was lovely the outdoor atmosphere was so romantic especially at night The service staff was amazing on top of everything and everyone making sure everything flowed wonderfully. Great for a small wedding of 35 or less. Prices were very reasonable for the delicious food options and drinks were on point! At the end of our dinner since we were the last group in the restaurant the staff did us justice and gave us our moment for a song of choice to dance to as newly wedded, couple it was very special to us and the staff was just wonderful!
Definitely recommend the tomahawk steak when available. We definitely recommend this restaurant or any size for even for the special occasions.

Went to lunch here the other day. The space was very pretty and the outdoor courtyard was even better. For atmosphere this place gets a 10. The server was very nice but the food was mediocre. Although our meal was beautifully presented and good it lacked salt and depth. We didn’t try any of the cocktails but the margaritas looked really good.

I was here for a wedding reception, and I thought the appetizers were delicious and the service excellent. The place has inside seating plus a spacious patio.

FYI that there are hidden charges everywhere. If you’re not paying attention there will be things on your bill you’re not expecting. Easier just to not go here rather than scrutinize every item you’re ordering,
would recommend going somewhere else!

Love the food and outdoor atmosphere at night.
Highly recommend!
Great food. Tuna tartar was exceptional, muscles in curry sauce were great, paella two thumbs up and churros to die for!
Beautiful back patio. Service is excellent.

This place was amazing! We got there right as they opened at 11am. We happen to be in the area for a courthouse and needed to kill some. We were only going to have appetizers and drinks. But everything on the menu sounded so appealing. For starters we order the ceviche and the calamari. The flavors of the ceviche were amazing, the salsa they used was just right: a little heat that builds as you eat but not overwhelming. I ordered the duck in mole sauce with sautéed vegetables and rice. The mole sauce was perfect. The right balance of sweet and heat and richness. The duck was tender. My sister order the pollo adobado and she couldn't stop raving about it and my friend ordered mole short ribs. I tried a bit and the short rib was tender and delicious. The paloma cocktails were so good and refreshing. The service was fantastic. We sat in the outdoor courtyard area at the back of the restaurant and the decor was beautiful. It was a wonderful dining experience. I would recommend it to anyone that is visiting Santa Barbara.

either charged us $20 for water or $10 for tostadas and $10 for water (idk bc the bill wasn’t itemized) to eat our guacamole with bc they were out of chips. tostadas squirted old oil into my mouth. the fish special came with “seasonal vegetables” that were two carrots and was mid. salmon was mid. guac was mid. those three items plus bottled water was $112? cmon.
