The bar tenders on the third floor are horrible. After waiting 10 minutes they refused to sell me beer and friend wine. Went to second floor and got drink service in less than 30 sec. Place would be better off installing a vending machine on the third floor to replace the bar.

All I can say is ask to be served with a plastic cup, because I not once, but TWICE, received a glass with black grime caked around the rim of the glass. It was disgusting. And when I asked for a new glass expressing that my current glass was gross, the bartender expected me to just pour my current drink into the new glass (that was also dirty) :| I had to explicitly ask for a new drink and a plastic cup.

I've been to Backstage's salsa nights several times. The first thing you should know is that salsa nights start after salsa classes, so you are going to see a lot of people learning to dance salsa after salsa night starts. Many want to impress, especially those who are not Latino. The second thing is that if you know the salsa music genre well from the beginning until now, the music they play is not at all the best that the salsa genre has to offer. Also, they play bachata after two salsa songs, but not merengue. Bachata is easy to dance, but merengue is easier to dance than salsa. I don't understand why they don't play merengue from time to time if they play bachata. Merengue is much better than bachata. Lastly, they don't have a cocktail menu. They make you some terrible cocktails and then they dare to charge you $15. Another thing you should know is that the areas outside the dance floor are full of apprentice dancers who take over the space. The space itself is small, the bartenders don't know what they're doing and charge you an arm and a leg, and the music is garbage. Anyone can create a much better salsa night than these people.

When feedback was provided to be more mindful of the bar line, she proceeded to insult our looks (hairline for wearing a hat) and then began dancing to belittle our presence. Completely immature, despicable behavior. Plenty of other respectable bars to choose from that don't allow for that kind of act to be served upon patrons.

I celebrated my 21st birthday at Backstage and had an amazing experience. The drinks are great, the service is friendly, and there is a massive selection of beverages to choose from. If you can't decide the bartender can mix something up just for you.
The atmosphere is unique with three floors and a mechanical bull, and best of all, the bathrooms are clean and well-maintained.
- Nice DJ atmosphere.- Horrific fog machine skills/technicians.- Spacious building.

employee was really drunk and put her hands on my friend. my friend bumped into some streamers on the way downstairs. this “employee”started to yell at my friend and grabbed her and pushed her down the stairs. she shoved my friend. we come her practically every weekend and we were so confused by this random woman. she was wearing a pink outfit and was being very mean. we then talked to the security and they were saying that she was 100% sober. SHE OBVIOUSLY WAS NOT. Do NOT hire employees who will be drunk on the job, and usher people out of the establishment for no reason. my friends and I will not becoming back here until this woman is fired/reprimanded

Employee touches and pushed my friends down the stairs for accidentally touching streamers. Employees are drunk and security guards do not protect customers, instead they say “I’m just a security guard I can’t do anything “. Are you serious? This place is gross, empty, and employees need to be reconsidered.
