Extremely rude bartenders. Not friendly and smile from these gals? I think not. We came in to try this awesome looking old fashion with candied bacon and to say the least I am disappointed. Its extremely sweet and just overall not well made. My drink was set down with a thank you and she rudely stomped away. Another woman asked us if we are expecting anyone else as we are sharing two seats split between tables. She is not kind and they have miserable looks on there faces. I wont be back ever.

Great drinks, very nice and helpful staff. Light meals are delicious. The atmosphere is generally lively while intimate at the same time.

This is for delivery. One of my favorites to have delivered. It's usually fast and hot (I do only live about a mile and a half away. I'm lazy.) The food is distinctive and flavorful, unlike some others I won't mention. The Pork Belly Pops are especially good; sweet and savory. Get a couple orders! Also recommend Chicken sliders, better than the wagyu beef sliders which were just okay. The Mac n Cheese was good but a bit salty. Try this delivered for something different.

Came here to grab a quick bite to eat and drink because we saw the reviews about the pork belly pops. No joke, I had read about them the day before so I'd been day dreaming like 24hrs plus about them. We get there about 615 and get seated and place our order off the happy hour menu. A few mins later the waitress comes back with a big frown letting me know they had run out. At this point I'm beyond bummed cause that's the sole reason I wanted to come here. Fast forward another ten minutes and the chef (Hector) slides us 3 pork belly pops cause he heard we were disappointed they ran out. He apologized they didnt have enough to make a full order, but wanted to make sure we at least didnt leave without having tried them. Its GREAT when you find amazing customer service in this day and age. Also, the pork belly pops were amazing. Kudos to the staff at Bar 29....I'll definitely be back!

Heard a lot about this place from many of my friends! About the garlic fries and poutine! One of the most popular dishes! (FYI you get a free fries when you check in!). Also the poutine is waaaaay better than in its own land.... Canada! This place serves one of the best drinks in the area! Bar 29 can surprise any drinker with their variety of cocktails and other drinks! (Make sure to be responsible while drinking tho!) The atmosphere at this bar is very easy going although it's a little bit higher end. Don't feel pressured to dress up fancy. Especially for late night munchies! Talking about late night munchies... this place will hook you up with the best munchies during your worst cravings! My fav is the Wyugy sliders! They're the bomb!

I love me some good food that also has amazing drinks!!! We ordered, well probably, one of everything. Yikes. Don't judge this foodie. We came for the MacStack (Not on menu google it!) BUT were greatly surprised by the ahi- holy tuna! Come on somebody! Those fries- I mean get in my belly!!! (Check in on yelp. Worth it people! Worth it!) The poutine- talk about a surprise! Second bite is better than the first. And for this vodka drinker... The Spirit Riviera was on point. HOWEVER, they had something for every drinker! ALL the mix drinks! ALL of them. (Don't drink and drive. Just don't!) And to add some green cause you know I'm healthy- Brussel sprouts!!! Service was great. Attentive. Friendly. Helpful.

Place is dope. I just got off work and need a beer. They have it. The bartenders even gave me options. I picked the lager on tap because ipa makes me sneeze and I'm not man enough to order a mango cider. I heard about a yelpi from the establishment next door. That guy was a total j**** If you see a bad review from Don Q's Billiards published around the same time as this post, don't let their stars get you down. Anyway, back to bar 29. Place is still dope. One of the hired helpers offered me a shot of tequila. I should have told her politely that my girlfriend had an early morning and tequila makes me wake her up at 4am but instead I asked for a juice chaser. They gave me fresh grapefruit which happens to be my favorite. One shot always taste better with another and before you know it I'm writing reviews on yelp. Whoops, I think I just broke that wall they talk about...what is it? The fourth wall or something?... these walls are solid. Probably made of reenforced concrete. I'm not in construction so don't take my word for it but these look like some very well built walls. Im sure don Q's has similar walls built of concrete. I wonder why that one guy was so mad? Maybe he gets jealous of the finely built walls. Maybe he just needs a hug. If he ever reads this I want to let him know that not all walls need to be built from reenforced concrete and can still provide. Like I have this one friend that likes the dodgers but is a real angels fan. The angels won the series back in 2002. The dodgers haven't won the World Series since 1988. This doesn't make me mad because it's just baseball and no reason to get mad about it...just like reenforced concrete walls. I hope dodgers take it this year. It's looking good for them so far. Bar 29 doesn't have TVs but if they did they'd probably be playing baseball highlights. I guess I could probably watch them later or at don Q's next door. Anyway, the people at bar 29 are great. No need for TVs because conversations are where it's at. One person even listened to a work story I told them. I don't know about you, but listeners are the best and so is bar 29 and all their hired counter fellows.

Delicious cocktails...I would have had 5 more if I didn't have to be responsible. This place was perfect for what my gfs and I were looking for last night. A place to eat some food, talk/cackle and drink cocktails. PERFECT! We tried some places in the funk zone but every place had a loooong wait time. So we headed up town to Bar 29. So it's small plates/appetizers/tapas and beautify crafted cocktails, beer and wine. We had ordered an array of small plates which were all delicious. The pork belly bits had a garnish of a single Jalapeí±o on top, prefect combination with the sweetness of the pork belly. We also had crispy chicken sliders and I could of eaten all 3 to my self. The Mac and cheese was delish and then we had an order of the poutine which I also could have eaten all in one sitting. Oh I can't forget the rosemary fries...and whatever the yummy dip was that come with it is very tasty. Service was great and very attentive. I'll totally be back for a good cocktail and some fries. It's the old hungry cat building*...so it felt good to read visit the space ;))

I've been told to come here by so many people, and I finally had the chance! It's an upscale bar and restaurant that is still pretty casual. So dress up or dress it down, however you feel, you should come on over. My friend and I started out with Yelps offer (when checking in) for the free order of garlic fries! A huge bowl full of garlic covered fries with a delicious dipping sauce. I COULD NOT stop eating them!! We asked for the waitresses opinions on cocktails and ended up going with the Spirit of the Riviera (vodka, hibiscus syrup, lime, and cucumber) and the Frida in Love (roasted citrus reposado tequila, grapefruit, lime, habanero, agave, with habanero sugar/salt rim). We have never had such amazing tasting cocktails, but then again we really have never been to a fancy cocktail bar. Then we decided to share some other orders off the happy hour menu, all kits $7 each! We had the deviled eggs and the roasted Brussels sprouts. Perfect sizes to share with a friend so that you can try more of everything!

Very nice place in Santa Barbra, the food is delicious and the drinks are good too. The fries with cheese and steak is something you don't want to miss. Trust me!

Pros: quick turnaround on the food/light bites.

This place is fantastic! Great food, great drinks, and amazing service! We ordered short rib tacos, chicken pot pie, fried chicken sliders, and finished with skillet cookie....everything was fresh and delicious! Definitely recommend!

Went in for dinner and drinks with a girlfriend and we split the macaroni and cheese (wow), Brussels sprouts, and spicy/sticky wings. The macaroni was perfectly cheesy and yummy bits of pancetta, the Brussels were delightful with pine nuts and dried cherries... the wings were cooked perfectly! The service here is always on point; helpful and cheerful, with an easy going vibe.

I love Bar 29's happy hour! It's a small food menu and great drink menu. The perfect combo for happy hour. When you check in on Yelp you get a deal for free garlic fries. This is an EXCELLENT deal. This garlic fries comes in a HUGE bowl with a delicious mayo based sauce. They also serve deviled eggs and I imagine the sauce that's served with the garlic fries is the same mayo, brown mustard, seasonings that they mix into the egg yolk for the deviled eggs. SO GOOD! I also tried the pork belly pops and the Brussels sprouts. Delicious appetizers and great for sharing. I've always had great service here too. No matter if they're packed to the gills or completely empty, always very attentive servers.

A really aesthetic and modern bar that I feel like represents Santa Barbara in a lot of ways. Everything from the pumped pop playlists to the purple neon "Cocktails" sign above the leather couch just screams the sleek yet grungy personality of Santa Barbara. I like going here for the atmosphere alone honestly. It's super nice for large hangouts with the girls or for an intimate conversation with your significant other - this place is really versatile for both vibes. There's a really hip area in the back with couches and plants only illuminated by a purple neon sign, so kudos if you score sitting there before it gets filled with people. The drinks are really unique, but pretty expensive. There are a lot of options based off of what particular alcohol you're feeling in the mood for. If you're ever confused, just ask your waiter/waitress - believe me, they'll know exactly how to answer your questions. I definitely recommend this bar if you're looking for a taste of the SB nightlife that's not riddled with regrets from State Street, unless you're really into that. Come here if you just want to have a nice Friday night with the people you love spending time with over fun drinks and a chill atmosphere.
