Permanently closed, alas. Arrivederci I don't think they made it a year. They were run by the Olio People.

This was an excellent authentic restaurant. Sicilian food, the service was fantastic. There was no wait and the waiters were very friendly. I had a dish that was made on the table with a cheese wheel and cooked pasta with cheese and brandy on the table. The food was great! I would highly recommend this place. The waiter said it has been around for 8 months. It is right in downtown Santa Barbara .

It was a nice evening. I wish that there would have been a celebratory glass of Champagne or other celebratory decor or offerings. At least a glass of wine. For a preset menu, I thought it read like a regular menu. The food was very good. But wish it felt more like a special event.

Delicious

This is the 4th time we dined at Bedda Mia! Its has been Wonderful every time!!! The Sicilian food is fantastic!! The servers are Great and always guide us in the correct direction when choosing a wine. We will definitely be back and we encourage others to give it a try. You will love it too ❤️

This *was* an exceptional restaurant. Dishes that can't be found elsewhere in Santa Barbara or scarcely anywhere else tbh. Prepared to perfection. Served by a knowledgeable, award-level server. Paired with a wine that was a perfect match. The entire experience brought back memories of Sicily.

I lead Bespoke Luxury Travel in Sicily, Italy. One of my main focuses is Exclusive Food Tours. I take my clients to the TOP chefs in Sicily. Because of this, I am a food snob when it comes to Italian food. Bedda Mia is the REAL deal. Absolutely, fresh, authentic, and out-of-this-world-delicious. For someone who is a food connoisseur, this restaurant is above and beyond what I expect to find in the States. Every single time I come to Santa Barbara, it's a MUST for me. I'm obsessed with the fact that it focuses on Sicilian cuisine, which is one of the TOP regions in Italy when it comes to food. Bedda Mia has the most impressive Sicilian wine list that includes award-winning wines. From the antipasti, the pastas, the wine, the desserts, even the coffee is yummy! If you are ever in the Santa Barbara area do yourself a favor and go to Bedda Mia, you will be so happy you did. And who knows? You might even spot a celebrity (I always do!)

A lovely restaurant, attentive staff and of course, delicious food! Nor heavy American--style Italian. All delightful and a bit different. We enjoyed the capunata: eggplant mixture cooked to perfection, with the cheese so soft and delicious. And beautifully presented. Ravioli Branzino: how do the make that?? Delicate flavor in perfect ravioli. And the narrow fennel sausage - I wasn't quite sure what to expect. The coiled tiny sausage topped with succulent peppers, accompanied by perfectly roasted potato and nicely seasoned broccoli rabe. Nothing left on our plates. Must return another time to try desserts.

The food was great. We had the swordfish carpaccio, uni pasta, and the veal. For dessert we got the pistachio tiramisu. No complaints. We are very satisfied with the food we ordered. The cherry on the top was the wine recommendation given to us by our waiter (wasn't able to get his name, but he speaks Italian). His wine pairing was so on-point that it elevated our dining experience.

Finally got to try Bedda Mia. On a Sunday evening there weren't many tables filled so it was delightfully quiet. Service was attentive and the food delish. Love the simple but tasty preparation of Norwegian cod and the appetizers. This is a great place to go for creatively prepared fish, excellent seafood risotto, and eggplant. And for meat eaters the veal ravioli was a hit too. Be sure to save room for dessert.

Santa Barbarans, this place is great! Six of us went on the recommendation of a friend and we all loved the food. The waiter was super professional and competent, and just charming, from Sardinia. The decor is lovely. They specialize in Sicilian food. Among the delicious dishes were an artichoke soup, swordfish carpaccio, goat tortelli, swordfish eggplant linguini, and this crazy dish where they rolled pasta through a flaming cheese wheel and added truffle sauce. We will definitely be back. We went a bit early, but by 7 pm there was still plenty of room.

A truly authentic Sicilian restaurant! The dishes and balance of flavors are exquisite. Every single dish is incredible and the hard part of dinning here is deciding what dish to enjoy. I always aim to try a new dish when I dine here and every single time I am blown away. On our most recent visit, David took care of us and his hospitality was superb. From the beginning till the end we felt well taken care of and the timing of our dinner was perfect.

FINALLY, a SICILIAN restaurant, in Santa Barbara, that will take your breath away! In my 72 years, including many wonderful meals throughout Italy, this was ONE OF the MOST FABULOUS dining experiences in my life. THE ABSOLUTE BEST IN Santa Barbara!!! FROM THE TIME WE WALKED IN THE FRONT DOOR, WE WERE TREATED LIKE ROYALTY. ..SO WARM AND INVITING. OUR WAITER, ANTONIO, MADE THE EVENING SO SPECIAL. THE CHEF/CO-OWNER, ALBERTO, a TRUE SICILIAN CHEF, WHO WAS INCREDIBLY WARM AND FRIENDLY, AS HE EXPLAINED THE DETAILS OF OUR MOST DELICIOUS DISHES. The Capunata di Milinciani (creamy burrata with the most EXTRAORDINARY red sauce that I have ever tasted), was so unique and uniquely wonderful. The swordfish carpaccio with their olive oil and lemon, was delicious. The special fish of the evening was the Norwegian cod, which is rare and was exceptionally delicious. The Cassata Siciliana, for dessert, accompanied by a chilled liqueur glass of the most wonderful marsala! ALL was YUMMMMMMM!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed eating at Bedda Mia. The food was excellent. The smoked tuna starter was perfect. We each had different pasta dishes. The different pastas were perfectly cooked. I especially enjoyed the seabass raviolis - I'd never seen a fish ravioli before and they were light and delicious in a tomato/baby clam sauce. We had great service as well.
