Alejandro and the team are firing on all cylinders here. Don't skip it. Wine list unreal. Food is seasonal and beautifully done.
Food was great! Definitely gourmet Indian and carefully prepared. Great flavor on the tandoori chicken kebab, butter chicken masala and naan — and use of spice including real saffron on the basmati. Kitchen service was impacted it took us too long to get from appetizers to mains. Servers were friendly. It is LOUD in that room - hard to hear.
We love Bibiji! The food is fresh and delicious, the vibe is awesome and the service is warm and attentive. It's one of our go-to Santa Barbara spots.
I was looking for a Michelin restaurant on our recent trip to Santa Barbara. I found BiBi Ji and then I saw the tasting menu plus wine pairing. My wife and I really enjoy Indian Food so this was a meal that we were looking forward to having. It did not disappointment. We were extremely well attended to during our meal and everything was explained in detail to give a good background to what we were eating. As a person who does not love fish, this happened to be one of my favorite dishes. The seasoning/ flavors were a joy to have with every bite. Also, I am not sure how you make naan elevated, but their naan took to up 2-3 levels. If you like ethnic food and wine, your adventure here will be well worth it. Thanks again for a memorable meal for my wife and I!
Adam, our server, did a great job! Let us know what his favorites were and guided us through the menu. The food is consistently great! Amazing flavors!
The food was really great!! Staff was nice, but NYE and not too attentive - too busy? They were out of a few things - seemed a bit disorganized for a holiday eve. We will go back! LOVED the potato naan!!
For the the person who seated us, I'm not sure how you decided about customer table selection. I didn't think it was fairly managed. There were a couple of available tables where we preferred to be seated, against the wall. Upon our arrival, we asked for one of those tables, per our reservation, away from the center, but we were told there were only available tables at the center of the room. However, after we were seated, we saw how you gave those two available tables to two other couples who checked in after us.
My experience here started off okay but then quickly took a turn. Arrived for my 7:30pm reservation on a Monday. Ordered all drinks, small plates, and entrees pretty fast. It took almost an hour and a half to get food and honestly would've taken longer if I hadn't gotten up and gotten someone's attention. The first persons attention I got seemed to be the hostess i think. She didn't know what to do so then I talked to the next person I saw. Which happened to be the manager and let him know that me and my date had been waiting for almost an hour for our food. Alejandro (the owner) was extremely apologetic, kind and took care of the bill, but I was extremely disappointed in our waiter, Adam S. He spoke to a once. Only when he took our order and we didn't see him the rest of the evening until I communicated with owner..didn't refill our water, drinks nothing, didn't apologize just nothing. Shout out to Alejandro because the food was great but service was pretty bad. Especially for a Monday evening
Food here was excellent. Probably my new favorite restaurant in Santa Barbara. Loved the concept of elevating Indian cuisine while also making it relatively accessible. The wine list was extensive. I appreciated the substitution on the wine that was no longer available. Would definitely come back.
The food in general lacked authentic Indian flavor. We had ordered 4 vegetarian dishes and malai chicken. The chicken was cold. The breads were good. Overall, if you are looking for good Indian food, the experience was disappointing.

Beautiful restaurant and welcoming team. We enjoyed the fresh delicious menu - and the wine list is like no other. Fun night out with friends.
Amazing!!! Cannot wait to go back! The garlic naan bread, butter chicken, roasted cauliflower. Yum. All of it
Seemed understaffed so we had some odd waits while tables around us got food. Good flavors and well prepared. They were out of a lot of items though.
Such a great upbeat vibe- it's vibrant & smells fabulous when you walk in the door. We had Great service, fab food and wine.
They were out of the lamb chops and the fish - and the server was new and didn't bring us the condiments we asked for. Also only 1 wine by the glass option for each color. Would not return.
