Great food! Service was a little slow but they were busy so I can't fault them for that. Will definitely return though.

The atmosphere is very nice and the service was attentive and prompt. Unfortunately my tuna salad was not up to par: the bed of humus was old and sour and the greens were wilted. Luckily the rest of my party enjoyed their food.

Absolutely killer meal. We were visiting from Montana and wanted to eat as much seafood as possible on this trip, and Bluewater delivered. We had the poke and a Rhode Island lobster roll as apps, for entrees my wife got the Paella and I had the striped bass. Poke was phenomenal, the marinade was killer, the wonton chips were the perfect thickness where they were thin and crispy but didn't shatter apart as soon as you took one bite. The lobster roll was amazing, the bun was loaded with lotsof lobster and covered in butter, they even had the proper Rhode Island bun so that they could griddle each side in butter. The sea bass was the star of the show, the skin was absolutely perfectly seared so I could hear it crunch when I took a bite, but the fish wasn't overcooked. I didn't steal too much of my wife's paella but the bite I had was fantastic. We had a couple of cocktails and dessert and the bill was just under $200, which seemed more than reasonable for the quality and quantity of food that we got along with the location of a restaurant right on the beach in Santa Barbara. Overall a strong recommendation from us if you're looking for a nice seafood dinner at this price point.

I'm so upset! It was my birthday and it's my son's favorite restaurant. The service was unacceptable.

We had been here before one year ago, and raved about it to our party of 9. We came from out of town for my birthday. Maybe they changed the chef or something because the food was super bland. No seasoning. Lobster wasnt nice and chunky. Alot of shredded pieces. We asked for some seasoning to add to pur food. The classic Old Bay used in seafood recipes. They didn't even use Old Bay which was shocking, and couldn't offer anything to us. Hundreds of dollars wasted. Everyone with us complained about the bland tasting food. Really upsetting. We will definitely come back to Santa Barbara but no longer for this place. A shame 😕

My experience for dinner at the Bluewater Grill was excellent. It was my birthday dinner and Bluewater Grill same highly recommended by the front desk at the hotel that we were staying at. And they were spot-on. From the greeting at the door till out departure, the staff, service, and the meal was excellent. I have been in food service for the past 52 years as a cook, a chef, maître d', and owner and I have to admit, I was completely blown away. The entire meal and service was perfect. Staff very polite and professional. The server that evening was a young lady named Jennifer and I was very impressed by her. I am not very good at writing reviews, but I do know what is "exceptional" and Jennifer' service to my partner and I was quite good. We left very satisfied that evening. So a very heartfelt "Thank You" to the staff at the Bluewater Grill , you have a new "Fan". Aloha, Birthday Boy from San Diego

All together solid. Got paella. The atmosphere was nice, a bit corporate. Food is solid tho prices are high for the value
