We hosted both our rehearsal dinner and welcome party at Brass Bear Uptown, and it was the perfect choice. Having both events in one location kept everything relaxed and seamless. The private dining room was spacious for our buffet, included tables/chairs, and had its own bar, which gave the evening an exclusive feel without needing the entire restaurant. Guests loved the natural flow between the patio and indoors, and drinks (including signature cocktails and a mocktail) were a big hit. We added valet for 125 guests, and it was affordable and made arrival stress-free. The staff was incredible - Emily made planning easy, and Kenzie ensured the night ran smoothly. Everything exceeded our expectations, the value was unmatched, and they worked with our budget. Highly recommend Brass Bear for couples looking for a welcoming and memorable pre-wedding space!

Service is exceptionally slow. No offer of refills on any drinks. One friend didn't receive her meal until the rest of us were done. Took 30 minutes to get the check. They have a family area full of screaming kids, so if that's your idea of nice evening this may be the place for you.

In door & out door seating. Food was great. A group of 20 people. Sat outside, they had a play area for kids. Staff member was the chaperone for the kiddos. Tips/ donations for watching the kiddos while grown-ups enjoy talking story & hanging out. This was a plus.

It’s a cute location with lots of parking and a nice ambience. The food is okay not amazing but not bad it feels underwhelming for the price. The serving sizes are relatively small after eating the chilaquiles I was still quite hungry. The service was attentive and good.

We knew we were in good hands the moment we met Emily and the Brass Bear team! Guys, when we say this group is amazing, we really mean it. They worked with us, helped us create a beautiful wedding reception, and made the process seem so easy. Everyone is so easy to talk to, responsive, respectful and so sweet. They have such a beautiful and workable space to help bring our vision to life. Our fav part - the food and drinks. WOW, their catering is out of this world. They even let us alter the catering menu to get French fries as our appetizers! We are so lucky to have had the chance to work with them. Shoutout to Emily for being the best event coordinator ever! The space is beautiful and exactly the vibe we were looking for, but what really made the process so easy and enjoyable was working with Emily. She was so helpful, organized, and genuinely kind... just a total gem. She made everything feel really smooth and stress-free, which is such a gift during wedding planning. Brass Bear never disappoints when it comes to the food! The two things that always stand out and a must order are the French fries and grilled cheese. Simple yes, but flavor wise they are both worthy of praise! The French fries are crispy, airy and perfectly seasoned. Trust me order them! The grilled cheese is buttery and toasty. Made with two year aged cheddar, Jack and Parmesan making it savory and delicious. The first bite is always a wow factor.
I didn't order the grilled cheese this time, because I was craving a burger. I ordered the brass bear burger cooked medium which was prepared perfectly. My friends had the brisket tacos and loaded fries. I sampled the loaded fries and the meat was tender and flavorful. Everyone enjoyed their food.
This place is great for a gathering. They offer outdoor seating with beautiful Mountain View's. Inside dining is also available and nicely laid out. They offer happy hour here, but the time frame is a little confusing. I asked about it, and the waitress wasn't clear on it either. It's not even posted on the website. Hopefully they update it!
I do feel like the margaritas here are overpriced for $17. They are good, but the price is expensive compared to other places in town. That's my only gripe!

What an excellent spot to come and eat! The atmosphere is just the best! Kid friendly, even with babysitting on the back patio play area! We're looking forward to eating here again the next time we're in Santa Barbara!
