Excellent service! Beautiful views. Delicious!
We ate at this place 11 years ago on our road trip to Big Sur. This time things have changed downhill - the seafood tastes not that good anymore, the ambience is slightly worse, and the kitchen is extremely noisy. The views and popularity are probably still drawing huge customer base.
Fish & chips were superb. The waitress was always there when needed. The atmosphere.. Well what now can you ask for right in the pier.
Anytime I am in Santa Barbara, Brophy Brothers is my go restaurant. I love love love the fried claims and their creamy coleslaw. We definitely will be having lunch there several times this summer.
Great to revisit Brophy Bros. for drinks

Prepare yourself for a loud, boisterous experience - particularly at peak times.

Food and service were great, but the atmosphere would have been a lot better if the tables were at least 6" larger and didn't have people standing at window counter within arms reach, while wait staff negotiates access in the in- between space.
Parking: Parking was very scarce, but were lucky to take a space in the alley as someone was vacating it.

Had the ahi tuna salad and it was delicious. Unfortunately this place smells SO BAD! LIKE DIRTY ALCOHOL DISH RAG! but if you can get over the smell the food is great.

Restaurantji Recommends
I thought that this was a really fun place to eat. Lots of atmosphere and great views of the harbor.
Sit outside and stare at the boats while having a beer with dinner.
I had the tuna and thought it was excellent. Order a side of vegetable kebab for a few dollars. All cooked (or barely cooked in the case of the tuna) to perfection.
I also recommend the salad.
I recommend the place if you are anywhere in the neighborhood.

Ordered Take out. The clam chowder was chowderring. Truly the best I've had very hearty potatoes were perfect. The sourdough was perfectly toasted. The Shrimp tacos were also amazing the shrimp was not overly greasy. The tortilla mixed with onions and cotija cheese was so savory. We also ordered fish n chips and my daughter 3 yrs old who thought initially it was chicken said it was the best chicken I knew that meant the tenderness if the fish was perfect and when I tasted it IT WAS THE we sat outside and it was great since it was fogged in during a heat wave it looked cold but it was perfectly cozy

Good food, great view. Staff was awesome. A bit loud when it's crowded, try for a seat outside

Bread came out ice cold, they gave us a huge block and didn’t bother to cut it. I asked for a sprite it was literally just syrup in water no carbonation. I asked what’s popular she told me the ceviche so o got it. It was completely unremarkable, the serving size was like a whole meal. Again she said the fish and chips were popular and their best seller. I tried it and it was not great mediocre at best.

Gorgeous view of the Harbor. No stars given for food only because I didn't have any. Mimosas were amazing! Service was great!
