It was delicious we order diferent things to share everything was spectacular, they where super friendly and helpful we had a handicap with us they where super help in t make in her feel welcomed.
It was stunning lunch. Ravioli and Alfredo pasta were the best ever. Lobster risotto was also nice.
We've frequented the Montecito location and wanted to return to the downtown spot as it had been a favorite in years past. Sadly, the service was very sporadic and very mediocre. We felt incidental rather than special. The steak frites didn't come close to the same dish at the Montecito location ( which was fantastic). Nothing special at all. Our bus person was more attentive than our waiter but we still needed to flag down servers for water and wine.
Look, if you’re willing to look past the mediocre service and crowded atmosphere, the food here will knock your socks off. We’ve never had a bad meal. All of the pastas and starters are great. I think the ravioli with brown butter and sage are one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever eaten. The tagliatelle and pappadelle basciola are phenomenal as well. Secondi are all good too, but you’re really coming here for the pasta (or the osso bucco or chicken/veal parm specials). Cocktails are mid, just pass. Come on a weekday or early on a weekend.
Had a great time with a friend and delicious steak dinner
Been here several times... I know there r other good Italian restaurants but I promise this is one of the best. Quaint, cozy and full vibes. Best Salmon I've had Also there Capellini with Bolognese sauce in the State ! This place is a must.
Menu has changed. New ownership? Portions smaller, entrees different in size, ingredients and taste. Disappeared but will give another try hoping it will be like it was. Family tradition going there.
Food was excellent and service was great. It's so good that celebrities eat there...can't give names. 😋
I ate my dinner fairly early in the evening. Service was good, but considering there were not many customers there not as efficient as I might have expected. The food was excellent as was the atmosphere. The location is wonderful for attending events at the various theaters downtown.
An old classic that is showing signs of slipping. Still a pleasant place to eat with very solid wine list. But pasta a bit gummy and chicken dish overcooked. And the prices....

Ca' Dario was a delightful Italian restaurant. I highly recommend the thinly sliced veal with tonnoto sauce, YUMMY! The pastas we cooked to a perfect al dente and the fish was divine. Excellent wine list. Great service. if you're looking for a small intimate place for date night, this is the place!
Lovely food, the services was polite and attentive. Atmosphere a little somber, but overall very good
We sometimes don't go to Ca Dario because of the noise level. But this time, we were going early before the theater and kept our fingers crossed. We were lucky and the noise level was not too bad this time! The food, as always, was wonderful. Service, given that we told them we were going to a play, was quite slow in the beginning. They had seven staff people behind the bar yet no one could bother to come over and see us! Eventually they got the point and after that, our service was fine. It's always difficult for a customer to say Cevin staff doing absolutely nothing and yet they can't get service! Something for the restaurant management to look into.
Absolutely the best meal I've had in Santa Barbara. Possibly anywhere. We ordered the Brown butter ravioli, halibut, steak with beans and panna cotta. So delicious. Everything was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Service was also amazing. Seating is cozy, but it wasn't bad. 10/10 recommend!!
Food was excellent. Service was very good. Some questions regarding our entrees, however, everything came out perfect, hot and all in all a wonderful evening
