My husband and I stopped by Chubbies in Santa Barbara and both of us ordered “The Chubbie” burger. It definitely lived up to the hype—juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. The ranch was surprisingly good too—creamy, tangy, and perfect with the fries.

The only downside was the vanilla milkshake; it just didn’t hit the mark for us—lacked flavor and was a bit too sweet. But overall, the burgers and sides made up for it. Great spot for a classic burger fix in a chill, local setting. We’ll be back (but probably trying a different shake next time)!

it's a local Santa Barbara classic. Used to go here in early 2000s -- went here the other day, may 2025, nothing has changed--didn't need to!

Cute little burger place, awesome burgers and fries and shakes. I like the Chubby combo, it has double meat :). Not a lot of parking though, you're either walking or I will park in the plaza beside it. For 2 chubby combos, one with a shake, it was about $23, which isn't too bad at all for the quality of the food.

Burgers done right. Nothing fancy.

Amazing burgers and quality!!!
We are from France. I personnaly never eat burgers as i love halthy foods but my boyfriend wanted to try and i followed him ordering a veggie burger. We were both super surprised by the amazing freshness, quality and generosity of veggies. Thank you! Amazing flavor and freshness!

Best burger in Santa Barbara! No frills just fantastic burgers, fries, and shakes. These are magic. Don't wait in long lines at other California burger joints for a good burger when you can go to Chubbies right now and get a GREAT burger. Love you Chubbies!!!

CHUBBIES has been around a long time, and not much has changed .
Simple Menu and delicious hamburgers .
Whenever I have a chance, I stop in and grab a burger and fries.
Chubbies never disappoints.

Parking: Small parking lot , street parking is the way to go .
