1 State St, Santa Barbara
Came here after taking the morning train to Santa Barbara. What a cool spot! Just across the water and friendly staff are awaiting you. Decent menu for the morning crowd as well. Pretty busy even on a weekday. Food and service was great. Killer spot to take in an enjoyable meal to an adventure in Santa Barbara
Please note: this restaurant is no longer open for business. The phone goes to voice mail and requests you to make a reservation and leave contact info They will NOT be returning your call. Kind of irresponsible on their part to not honestly let patrons know that they are no longer open The website still lists their hours and indicates that they are active and open THEY ARE NEITHER ACTIVE OR OPEN, BUT THEY SURE ARE DISHONEST AND DECEPTIVE!!!!
Food and service is solid 5 stars - the pastas were each delicious and compared with some of the best Italian restaurants in NY / SF / LA etc. They clearly care about quality and crafting flavorful dishes. Please keep up that standard. Looking forward to being back any time I'm in the area!!
This was a disappointment from the start. Terrible table, bad ambiance and slow service. A total tourist trap for the masses that don't know any better visiting Santa Barbara. A true disaster slash disappointment from that group that gives you such fine establishments such as Lucky's in Montecito and Joes on state st. Inept on all levels even the valet sucked. I suggest a full rehire and a door in front that closes so you don't freeze when left open by the tourists looking to pick up or use the one bathroom.
Food is decent but service is lacking.
Excellent service excellent food our waitress was awesome I would definitely go back again
This was our first morning in Santa Barbara after a long day of travel. It was Sunday morning and we didn't want to look too hard for a brunch spot. Should have noticed the lack of patrons. Our server was terrible, brought hot tea without hot water, mixed up my eggs Benedict order. But worse, both my husband and I got severe stomach issues which ruined our afternoon and evening plans.
My fav location for tasty Italian food. I was so stuffed. The place has an awesome atmosphere.
Italian food and the setting at this place is super good. I give this spot a thumbs up. The service here is great.
Service was excellent, food was awesome, and the atmosphere was perfect for any occasion.
We were somewhat skeptical because of the incredible location and gorgeous view LOL....but, this scratch kitchen delivers!! The Caprese and carpaccio salads were fantastic!! The garlic spinach and generous ribeye were absolutely scrumptious!! Then to finish it off, we went back the next day, for a delightfully light tiramisu and a latte that took me back to a Parisian cafe!! Thank you to Ernesto and his doting staff for taking such good care of us!! We will be back next time we come to Santa Barbara!!
We had a lovely visit here this weekend. The bartender I think Sevi was so pleasant and kind to us and our children. Even though it's upscale they didn't scoff at our kids. They even were able to change the TV to a kids show for us. The blonde hostess was super nice too. The food was beautiful and the fruit was super fresh, the kids had pancakes and French toast and it was top notch quality. The mimosas were also fantastic! The views of the beach and the boardwalk are breathtaking. They have outdoor seating and indoor seating. They have gender neutral restrooms and the restrooms were very clean. The entire place was very well kept clean and tidy. I really appreciate that. The eggs and bacon and potatoes were cooked perfectly. I highly recommend this place! I forgot to add I love the decor and all the details, from the place settings to the photos every detail is well thought out!
I walked over from my hotel. Its perfectly located right across from the pier and beach. Has a beautiful patio and the food was delicious. I had the salmon. It was cooked perfectly not dry like other restaurants will do. The veggies were also very flavorful. The service was impeccable. I was alone and the staff made a point of coming by to check on me a d make me feel comfortable.
It was AMAZING! Delicious food, great customer service, beautiful setting & view! My favorite restaurant ever!! Sucks i live in LA, but i def would drive down there again just for this place!
Excellent food and great service; also great ambiance
Took my wife to SB for her birthday weekend. Ofcouse, we couldn't leave our little doggie behind. After checking in to our hotel we were looking for a restaurant that was dog friendly and had heat lamps outside. So I found this place and also found SB fish house. We decided to pick this place because of the outdoor patio we saw on Yelp. We were so happy we decided on this place. Love the large secure dog friendly patio. The food was great. U gotta try the lamb chops. The service was exceptional, especially with our server David. He was very funny and friendly. We were the only party sitting outside which was nice. To be fair it was after 7pm and was kinda chilly outside. Most customers were sitting inside the restaurant. We had our buddy with us so we stayed outside. But our server David and the manager took care of us making sure that we were warm with 3 heat lamps surrounding our table. Would definitely come back again next time we are in SB.
Awesome Italian restaurant with patio seating available and right across the street from the pier. Prices are reasonable and menu varied. Service and food is awesome. My husband and I shared a cobb salad with grilled shrimp and a pizza. We forgot to tell the server when we ordered that we like our pizza crust crispy, so when the pizza arrived, we asked him to put it back in the oven for a few minutes. The bottom of the pizza got a little burned when they did this, and the chef would not allow it to be served. They made us another pizza that was perfect. Whenever we are in the Santa Barbara area, we will definitely return to this great restaurant.
this place is amazing- w/nice view outside eye- catching & the food just outright delish. A Must-tries are the Pasta w/ goat cheese, smoked salmon benedict, Salmon, Calamari the list just goes on & on. It's a break from the norm & for food that's for the discerning- this one of the place to go to for good Italian dining.
Great service! We had Antonio as our server and he was amazing.
Visited with my girlfriend for the second time today, during our stay in Santa Barbara.
Our new favorite spot in Santa Barbara. The atmosphere is everything you want. The staff was impeccable. and the food literally blew me away. I woke up literally thinking about the left over pasta in the fridge. It has great upscale yet beachy vibes where you would be able to just show up off the beach or dressed up for a wedding and feel comfortable. We brought our toddler and we able to just tuck ourselves in a corner of the patio where he was able to roam around a bit. One of the best patios in SB.
Great service! We had Antonio as our server and he was amazing. The food was good, but the service from Antonio made it worthwhile. We ordered a couple of drinks which my wife didn't like too much, but Antonio went out of his way and found a drink that she really enjoyed. Excellent service! Options for vegetarians, we had the pasta and the ravioli. The pasta we had did have quite a bit of garlic, which overpowered the taste. The spinach ravioli was really tasty. Some of the best I've ever had actually. The portions were not overly large, which is good. It was good for one person. Good ambiance as well, close to the water. They have an outdoor seating area as well which is really cute, but we chose indoors as it was a little chilly. The food itself wasn't too expensive, it was at a fair price. I'd definitely recommend this place, particularly for the service! Thank you so much Antonio!
I'm a local and I've been really wanting to try Due Lune! The ambiance is okay.. the competition is steep when you're comparing to other restaurants in town. The food is okay. The service is terrible- like really terrible. I had to ask for our waiter at least 3 times and I was not in a hurry at all (thankfully). It can't be that hard to get more help...
Just had lunch at Due Lune. Had delicious spinach raviolis and pizza there. The views are nice and the food is delicious. Give yourself time to find parking
Very pleasant for an evening meal with nice views of the pier and beach, outdoor seating available but chose a table indoors by the window. Great choice of wines
Great ambiance sitting outside in the courtyard seating area that views onto the harbor across the highway. The menu has plenty of choices and we had halibut and rigatoni and split a Caesar salad. Both meals were excellent as was the salad. My only knock was the service. On a Tuesday evening at 7:00pm, the courtyard area was pretty full, but after waiting 10 minutes with no waiter acknowledging us, I had to ask if anyone was serving our table. The waiter showed up soon after my inquiry. Our salad came out promptly and I asked the server if they had fresh ground pepper. He replied that they did indeed, but he never returned with any. I guess he thought I was just taking a survey! Our meals came promptly but I had to ask for Parmesan cheese for my pasta dish. At least that was delivered to the table. We waited a good deal of time to see our waiter again to ask about desert and coffee. We were never offered a refill on the coffee. Overall, the service was borderline uncaring, inefficient, and exceedingly slow with no one ever asking if we needed anything else (like the fresh ground pepper that never was brought, or the Parmesan cheese that was delivered to our table). With a great location and tasty food, I would hope that management would stress better customer service.
The food itself was good, the pictures on the walls were awesome, but the service was not good at all. They forgot what we ordered, they did not offer us water, we were waiting very long - even though there were not many clients at that time. It was not the best experience.
Not the best of Montessano's restaurants. They need to make it more enjoyable. Food is good but no environment
Excellent service, delicious food and a beautiful view of the ocean. Both my husband and I ordered fresh made pasta dishes, which were superb.
Very nice spot, classy jazzy feel, good food, don't wait in line at that other place
This restaurant is owned by a local who has 4 other great restaurants in town. The food is great and always consistent. I love the pasta and the seafood.
We came in late for desert and they accommodate us great attitude even late at night that they were closing the kitchen.thank you all. I am amaze of the attitude and customer service of all three people I encounter from hostess and two other server. best
Related to Tre Lune and less expensive. My wife and I both thought the cooking was better than Tre Lune, but our opinion is based on only one visit. It’s not as if we are professional restaurant critics, and Santa Barbara is full of other worthwhile eateries.
The flavor is good. The service given is honest and good. The ambience of the place is good. The price is a little high, but the location is nice. The pace of the service is slow. Overall, it's a good 3 star place.
GOOD SELECTION OF FOOD. LOCATION ON THE BEACH. NICE OUTSIDE DINING
I was eating here with my family yesterday. The food was very tasty and the atmosphere was good when we arrived. They where very friendly and if a water glass was empty they asked to refill it. The knife for the pizza was not perfect to cut it but that's ok. That was great! Gm But then they played loud jazz music that was extremely annoying. It was hard to understand my Familie because a speaker was close to us. Without that music I would give 4 stars because the food was really good. But if anyone likes jazz I would recommend to go here.
We had a lovely Italian meal sitting outside with great views to the beach and very friendly service. The food was excellent - a good choice on the menu, all well prepared.
It's good. One of the best patios on cabrillo so that's a plus. The food is good, better Italian is down the block at Toma. The service is good, location is good, I will post pics of the food I got.
Yum, we came here today for lunch and the food were delicious! The workers here are super friendly! We came here with our dog, they when she's thirsty, the worker here see me feeding her water with my hand, then they offered me a bowl of water for my dog. My dog loved it! The food here are so good. The steak here is the best! Also the salad and stuff, so good. I would really recommend coming! They have fast service. Yummie food, Friendly workers! I would definitely come again!
The outside patio is lovely and an excellent location for dinner outside on a nice summer evening. The staff is nice. The food is good, but nothing remarkable, especially for the price. They have a good wine list and cocktail menu as well.
