Stopped in for a quick breakfast. Sat at bar stools. Hot food out in less than 10 minutes from order. Eggs Benedict - hollandaise was on the verge of breaking, but was delicious. Good portion of hash browns. Side bacon was crispy Side of sausages was what you'd expect.

I stopped in for soup and a grilled cheese, which I saw on the website menu. Who doesn't serve soup at a diner. Well they don't at Garrett's . The service was just ok nothing to write home about. The restaurant is old needs a good cleaning which the help could do especially when it's slow at noon on a Saturday. To much playing on the telephone. Check out the floor, mirrors, the tabletops and the windows. My grilled ham and cheese was very good, hot and fresh tasting. That's why I gave them a 3. I see others have complained about the price, a lunch of the sandwich, fries and beverage along with a tip was $23.50. In Chicagoland where I come from that lunch would have been $15-$17 dollars with the tip of 20%. Pretty good food, ok help but a dirty restaurant. I am in SB a few times a year and I won't be going back.

Diner style. SUPER FRIENDLY staff, KIDs welcomed. Good iced tea. For SB priced well and a good deal for kids meals. We go there often.

Don't come here. The prices are outrageous, especially considering your dining experience includes stepping over transients to get into the restaurant. They increased the two egg plate by about $6. The meat lover omelette has gone up about $6. At least go look at the ocean if you are getting charged these prices. Food is just okay. Shout out to the modern art in the bathroom.

Perfect place for breakfast big portions and fast servers, they do tend to be busy, but that is because they are amazing, go around 10 am and it will have died down a lot. Cute little breakfast shop with amazing people!!!

If you value your health, don’t go to Garrett’s. Dirty, disgusting bathrooms. Food was absolutely horrendous. Took one bite and decided I was not eating. The ‘off’ taste of rotten food will be with me all day.We were there for maybe ten minutes and my hair soaked up the grease and oil smell lingering in the air.Very unimpressed.

We love trying new places all around the globe but were deeply disappointed with the food at this establishment. The service was welcoming but the food not so much. Heartbreaking to report one of the worst meals we've ever experienced. Four of us ordered different dishes and all were cold and tasteless. (I had the eggs benedict). We barely ate and didn't bother to take leftovers.

Good little corner diner for your basic but good breakfast food. The restaurant is small, not pristine, and dated but that was exactly what we were looking for today. A lot of the surrounding restaurants sounded more trendy and that was not the vibe we wanted today. We arrived on a Sunday around 10:30 and there were a few open tables. They also had space available at the counter. We had basic breakfasts of eggs, pancakes, bacon, chorizo, and hash browns. Everything we had was solidly good. I added cheese to my eggs and visually it was unappealing when delivered. However, after just scrambling it all together it was delicious. Coffee was basic but good. Would come again if in the area.
