Handle Bar Coffee is a must-stop in Santa Barbara. The coffee is great. The store on De la Vina Street is very nice.

A great place to chill, chat with friends, or get some work done. There are quite a few tables inside the cafe and on the patio, but it may sometimes be difficult to find an empty seat. Their coffee is always delicious.

Consistently fantastic espresso and cappuccino at Handlebar - fairly close approximation to a French cafe, as people hang out here for hours on end. Outside patio (dogs allowed) - this is a legit SB locals place. Starbucks SUCKS! (Handlebar has a downtown location as well, but I prefer De La Vina).

Visited for the first time today and I’m immediately a huge fan. Not only did they serve me up a Matcha latte, that was actually hot — unlike most third wave coffee shops with their lukewarm drinks after I request extra hot — but the vibe is great and the staff are really friendly and welcoming. Wi-Fi was fast and the playlist was perfect for getting a lot of work done. I’ll definitely be back!

I have been to coffee shops around the world, worked at a handful and never have I seen an owner be so polite and engaging with customers. He is always attentive, and his workers are happy & lovely people too! The coffee is roasted here and you can see it happening all day! Their pastries are perfect too! I love this place.

We met someone who highly recommended this place for coffee. There was a line out the door. We ordered cappuccino, matcha latte and almond croissant. The staff was extremely friendly. I would highly recommend the almond croissant ?
