Great coffee and great service. Had a croissant today, on top of my standard latte, and cannot praise it enough.
The coffee shop is truly 5 stars. Coffee and service is always great. I always get a bag when I am in town.
Best in town, and this is the best location :) you'll have to wait a bit but it's worth it - and everyone is very friendly! I moved away and I miss it, and regret not buying merch.
Busy on weekends! Ordered a hot vanilla latte with oat milk but sadly it lacked vanilla flavor and had no sweetness. We even asked for extra syrup but still no flavor or sweetness! Tasted like a regular latte. Really needed a sweet pick me up but was met with disappointment from this 0/10 drink because it plainly wasn't a vanilla latte. Atmosphere is cool and drip was decent.

We came to visit here for our early afternoon snacks and ordered:
2x Espresso
1x Cinnamon Roll
Total: $14.16 with tips
Overall, we’re very pleased with the flavor of the coffee and cinnamon roll. The kick of the coffee, the bitterness, and the sourness are just what we've been looking for—the best espresso we've tried so far compared to many others. The cinnamon roll, we thought, was amazing, too—though it can be slightly sweet to our palette, other than that, we love it. However, it took some time to prepare our espresso for both when called; my husband had to wait another 2-3 minutes for the other one to prepare. We thought it was strange to wait that long given that they have many staff within that area, roughly 8 staff.
Other than that, it was a great experience with the coffee and pastry, and the ambiance was great, too.

Okay so the coffee and ice tea were of course, really good, but what shocked me were the pumpkin muffins and cowboy cookies. Literally perfect, not too sweet, and full of flavor and depth. So many coffee-centered cafes have sub-par baked goods, but these were fabulous. I'm only sad I don't live in Santa Barbara so I can enjoy them on a daily basis! It was a bit of wait the few times I went, but the line moved pretty fast and there's a nice vibe to the cafe.

Handlebar is must when visiting family in Santa Barbara from Australia. The US, traditionally known for their sub-par (terrible) coffee is no longer with Handlebars roasted bean's, skilled, and knowledgable baristas. Finally, a quality bean married with a service of baristas who know their craft and providing patrons with an atmosphere and experience well worth the visit. Kudos to the crew for the cauffeee experience worthy of 5 Stars.

Their iced vanilla latte was very bitter and too acidic and barely had vanilla flavoring. I left before asking for something else unfortunately! I’m sure their other hot beverage options are better!

People seem to love this place. It is always so busy. Bit pricey. I've never been blown away by their espresso, machiacto, or black coffee. I'll stick to making my own pour overs at home.
