Alec was our server, he was very friendly with a smile. He was attentive to us, he kept the water flowing.The food came out quickly , nice size portions. It was our Anniversary and they gave us a slice of cheesecake that was delicious! I would definitely recommend Holdren's if you're in the Santa Barbara area.
Whenever I visit Santa Barbara, Holdren's is a must! I haven't been in the area for several years and was a bit concerned if it was still as good as I recall. It was outstanding! They are currently running a special for their 22nd anniversary, a list of dinners for $22. I'm not one to order meat, let alone filet mignon at a restaurant as it is never as good as mine but I gave it a chance and it did not disappoint! A choice of salad, potatoes and 2, three ounces...
We always thought we loved the steaks at Holdren's and stayed at the hotel across the street for one night just to go back for the fourth year. The steak was flavorless although it was perfectly cooked. The special filet mignon appetizer was put on rice that I did not like or eat. The bread only comes if you ask for it and the white bread slices were so dry we only ate the brown slices. We will not go back when we visit Santa Barbara. The staff was very good. Just not the...
