Hustle & Grind permanently closed on 07/18/2022. Wishing them all the best in their future endeavors. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ No need to read further if short on time, thank you. Just clearing this from the drafts. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This was a coffee shop at the mall, across from the cinema. It shared the same space as ParadICE (also closed), which sold Hawaiian shaved ice. "OG Avocado" - vegan, nut-free avocado toast with cherry tomatoes and other spices. The avocado and edamame mix had a bit of an acidic aftertaste, I think too much lemon juice was incorporated. Honey Latte - Smooth and sweet. Like drinking the milk from a cereal bowl filled with Honey Nut Cheerios.

Cute little coffee shop right off of State Street in downtown Santa Barbara. I was really excited to try the maple sea salt latte, but unfortunately, it had very little flavor and was not good at all. The lavender molasses latte and the banana bread were great and I would definitely come back to try the food (especially the Hawaiian hot dogs)

Place is hidden by zumiez but it's coffee and baristas are on point! I had the honey latte and it was done to perfection.

I was reluctant to find a new coffee shop. My friend wanted to meet for coffee and this was the closest location. I'm not really good at multitasking so I was worried about having to Hustle and Grind to get my coffee. Luckily I didn't have to do either. They had a menu. So I knew what they had. I ordered a coffee. Then I was glad.

I stopped by to get brunch before studying for finals. The OG avocado toast and the vanilla latte were the best I had ever had! Totally worth the drive from Isla Vista. Lauren made my coffee and she was super sweet. I will definitely be back.

I ordered the maple sea salt latte and the coffee flavor is good. It's not bitter at all. The bad news is, it's simply too salty... I literally feel like I'm drinking salt. It's too overpowering. Maybe it was an off day, but I wouldn't order it again. The coffee shop itself is cute though.

We ordered two Flat White Lattes with whole milk and were more than happy. We loved their espresso bean flavors and dedication to the craft! Will come here again!

The two young girls gave our food away to other customers. Avocado toast left something to be desired.

Came here last weekend on a Saturday morning. It was around 9:00am and there was no line. The coffee shop is also run out of the same storefront as a shave ice store. The coffee was alright, it wasn't especially unique or a place that I am eager to go back to, but it got the job done. One appeal (though this could go both ways), is that there was no line. When I was walking around the rest of state street that morning, all the other coffee places had long lines out the doors. If you are in dire need of just a caffeine boost to go, this may be the place for you1

Beez Nuts and Queen B are just some of the bee puns on Hustle & Grind's menu. The place is an interesting duality between a coffee shop and a shaved ice parlor; this time, I tried their brunch goodies. Their hot cocoa is overall pretty good, though on the lighter side in terms of flavor of the cacao. Their avocado toast is pretty good as well, and resembles an avocado bruschetta dish I frequently make. The main improvement on the toast would be to sprinkle more salt flakes to make it a bit more saline forward to draw out the avocado and tomato flavor.

Good flavour and very smooth, just not very strong unfortunately. To me, you would need about 3 bags to have the same strength coffee as I get out of an aero press. Hopefully they can bring out something stronger as it’s super easy to use and throw straight in the bin or bio degrade in a compost bin.

We stopped by and tried an iced matcha latte and an iced vanilla latte with an add shot of espresso. Both of our drinks were quite good! The staff was extremely friendly and were engaged with us to make sure that our drinks came out tasting how we preferred. We plan to visit again to try the shaved ice!

I really liked this coffee shop! I just got a generic vanilla latte to be safe and I loved it. A little sweeter than usual but it's okay. I came around 5:40 so I got my drink made in minutes so it was a quick in and out. Located next to a lot of cute shops too!

Hustle & Grind is a really unique spot. I can't think of many coffee shops that also sell Hawaiian shaved ice, it's a pretty unique concept and I really liked the variety. The coffee is pretty good, just be careful because it is extremely hot. The service was incredibly fast and the staff was very friendly. There's no indoor seating but there are a handful of tables outside.
