Love this place. Food is great and love the gf. Everything os excellent and the servers are adorable.

"I absolutely love Lilac for breakfast and lunch...it's always a top-notch experience. However, my first dinner there was a bit of a letdown. My server forgot two items, and the salad I ordered was surprisingly bland. While this was a disappointment, I've had nothing but amazing meals for breakfast and lunch. I'd definitely recommend those, and based on those experiences, I'd rate them a solid five stars."

Great service, outstanding food quality that overcomes the issue of a gluten free menu. Service was too quick (less than 30 minutes including appetizers), we would have likes to stay longer.

We love lilac. It's the most pleasant place in town for breakfast. Food is delicious and beautifully presented, love the salad side (instead of potatoes (ugh), fun having one's own pot of coffee or tea water, the early morning hostess is gracious, and our server Juan was tremendous. Bravo, Lilac!

My favorite sandwiches in town! Plus love their fries. I need to come try dinner soon, but I swing by to pick up lunch from here weekly for over a year now. My husband eats gluten, but tried the turkey sandwich one day and now he’s hooked! Can’t even tell it’s gluten free. The bread is so delicious, bacon perfectly crispy! I also love their tuna sandwich. Sometimes I add cheese & make it a tuna melt. We love all there desserts and treats too. Great customer service and if you call it in they have it ready on time every time.

really lovely courtyard and wonderful server. Prices are quite reasonable for SB. Excellent quiche and club sandwich. Delicious pastries.

This restaurant was wonderful in every way the food was cooked perfectly, our server Oliver was informative and attentive. We don't usually order dessert, but did that night and it was just a glorious slice of decadent chocolate fudge cake. I think we're going to go back very often.

The food and wine are amazing! My very picky, New Yorker husband, who can eat all the gluten in the world and usually hates anything labeled “gluten free” loved everything (as did I). The ambiance of the restaurant is gorgeous and relaxing. My only complaint would be the service, it was just so-so. I expected better, especially in Montecito. Would definitely suggest to folks but with that caveat.

Arrived at 5:45 PM for our reservation on a Friday and it was empty. Soon several tables were filled but not very crowded (and the noise level was very quiet). Food was very good and service excellent. Wish there were more vegan entrees. My husband had the Polenta with ratatouille, which he thought was OK. We split a beautiful and tasty salad with artichokes and green beans, which was good (dressing on the side). I had one of the best salmon dishes ever. Wine selection was great. Brought home a vegan cupcake for dessert which was quite good.

Lilac is our favorite date night restaurant destination. The fantastic food, prepared and served with a French flair is impeccable. The service is always warm, professional, and very timely. Seared scallops, filet mignon, Caesar salad shared, shrimp cocktails, wonderful Daou Cabernet, and a finish with delicious carrot cake. All fantastic. This is a reasonably priced meal, at a quiet, serene setting. We go there very frequently, and it's fun to be recognized by the staff as a valued friend and customer. So everything is perfect.

Had a wonderful time as a family. Enjoyed the food. Only reason gave it a 4star rating is for 1 the bolognese barely had any meat and none of the food was salted enough (which is a better problem to have). 2nd is the service: our waiter forgot to put in our appetizers and then turned around and said we didn't tell her which was upsetting as we were very hungry but the food came out quickly.

Lovely dinner. we had the stone fruit salad, spagetti and meat balls, and asparagus. all great, especially the asparagus! Oliver was our waiter - just perfect, not too chatting but willing if we asked questions. it was our first time there, we will go again!
