Lilac Montecito

Oliver was our server, and he was wonderful! The food was excellent and we enjoyed our table by the window. Highly recommend the chocolate chip cookie sundae!

One of the only restaurants I have ever been too where I was given top notch service and quality food. Excellent staff and great ambiance for any occasion.

Breakfast at Lilac is very good but there aren't any special offering to set them apart from others. Don't get me wrong, the food is great! The service is outstanding.

We like the experience over all. Oliver was nice, funny and attentive. Our food was delicious. We had the filet minion with the mashed potatoes and rice. The branzino was also good. I took ratatouille, and wasn't disappointed-really impressed. Drinks are great, champagne, wine were great! They have a really good selection of the wine. Classic and delicious!

What a great restaurant. So amazing to find a gluten free restaurant that has just a normal fine dining menu. My wife has to be GF so it was nice treat for her not to have to worry about what can be substituted or what is cross contaminated. I had the homemade fettucine alfredo. Not a big alfredo fan but had to try the fresh GF pasta. It was excellent. Soap was excellent, bread excellent. Only negative was my wife's Chicken Marsala, while still good, had no marsala taste to it. Almost seemed like they left it out. Definitely will be back each time we visit SB.

Fantastic! Canadian tourist …. Asked a random someone walking an expensive dog where they recommend for breakfast. This place was right across the street. Loved it. We had the salmon plate. Wonderful meal and service.

Absolutely the best gluten free meal i have ever had. So nice to have zero stomach issues after going out to eat without feeling deprived in any way! I think we had everything on the menu and it did not disappoint. Portions are generous and enough to share and save room for dessert!!!

Although I consider the cold black-and-white decor regrettable, I also consider this one of the best menus in Santa Barbara. Whether you're gluten free by choice or necessity, you will thoroughly enjoy the superb food and exquisite professional service here. Eat all the bread rolls! Try everything. I recommend sitting in the small patio.

I wanted to love Lilac. It's nicely decorated, has attentive service and decent ambiance...unfortunately the food was very mediocre. The quiche was soggy and it seemed microwaved, and the salad served with it was soggy and bland. My friend had the grilled cheese and it was disappointing too. Hope they improve as it's a nice location in Montecito. Great dog watching spot!!

Best gourmet gluten free restaurant I have ever been to. The food is superb, and indistinguishable from non- gluten free alternatives. The gluten free desserts are delicious, don't pass them up, and the wine list has some very good selections. Is heaven for someone with celiac disease.
