Always a really good time dining here. The staff is friendly and the views are majestic. My son and I just had to try the fish tacos/fish and chips because of how fresh we knew it would be. I was completely blown away by the crunchy, not too heavy breading on the fish filets. Sometimes fish can taste like the burnt dirty oil it’s cooked in but not here! It was heavenly. I also loved the chips on the side of the tacos. Perfect amount to balance out the zesty sauce. Can’t wait to come back and visit for some cocktails!

We drove down from Santa Maria and visited the children's museum and then had lunch on the pier. The hostess was friendly and allowed us to sit anywhere. From then on we were basically ignored. We were seated for about 15 minutes a server had yet to come by. Another party that had came in 10 minutes after us were waited on before us. Actually before the server went to that other table she told us someone would be with us. When she finished taking their order she walked by and I stopped her and explained that we had sat down way before them. She apologized and a different server came by, apologized again, and took our order. Our food took forever. In fact, other people who ordered after us got their food long before us. No exaggeration... there was a couple at the table next to us who were seated 40 minutes after we got there AND they got their food long before we got ours. I ordered the Harbor burger, my wife got the fish tacos and my son got the kids chicken fingers. When our food finally showed up the burger was OK but not memorable, my wife said the fish tacos were bland and drowning in sauce and the chicken fingers were also bland. They tried to make it better by bringing out a huge plate of nachos that we did not want AFTER we finally started eating. The staff was friendly when they made contact, which was hardly ever while we were there. I'm not even going to discuss the pigeons inside or the lipstick stain on the pack of silverware they gave me - we are just never going back there.

Where do I begin? It was seat yourself and I found a table for 2 that had not been cleaned. Nothing was on the table but a bottle of ketchup. They never wiped my table down. I could live with that. I asked for an ice tea it arrived five minutes later with no sugar, etc. I ordered the fish and chips which were on a tray as big as my hand. I started eating them when I realized the were cold ! They weren't just cold, they were RAW! It made me sick! I told the server and she apologized and said that there was another order that came out and the chicken was raw. I got up and left! That was disgusting! It used to have the best food! Now it's really expensive and gross! I won't be back!Parking: On the Wharf

It was a decent experience. Lots of sea engles and pigeons. One pigeon landed on our table. I scared it away. Also, I bearly got any of their secret sauce on my harbor burger that was $21. Plus tax. I got allot of pickles and one slice of tomato and one big leaf of lettuce with seasoned soft crip fries and one Dil Pickle cut vertically sliced. I asked for their BBQ to add on my Harbor Burger and it was a better experience for me with their strawberry lemonade. Our waitress Brianna was gorgeous ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)ᵇᵗʷ. Have her an extra tip for great services with a positive attitude and a beautiful smile.Parking: Free for 90 mins and after 90 mins it's about $7 every 15 minutes.

I would absolutely skip this restaurant... It was filthy with birds everywhere (I know there isn't a lot you can do to control this) but the bird feathers and poo everywhere on the patio and even inside the building made it feel very unsanitary. Combine that with mediocre VERY over priced food. ($27 for a Burger that was only OK) I know this place is a Santa Barbara O.G spot- but we really don't understand why.

Be prepared to have to protect your food from pigeons, even indoors. They tell you they can't do anything about it. My daughter literally had to hold out a utensil and swat pigeons away from flying and landing on our food and table. Can't even imagine if it pooped or if feathers landed in our food.

We ate at this restaurant during a recent visit to Santa Barbara. It is a typical tourist dive with salads, burgers, fish & chips, etc. There is outdoor seating upstairs on the rooftop patio. Beware of the aggressive birds up there though! Everything about our experience was fine but not spectacular. The food is ok and the service was adequate. Overall, it's a decent place to eat on the wharf but next time we would probably try one of the other places there.

Longboard's Grill is located on the 2nd floor and the location has an elevator if needed. I mistakenly placed my first review for The Harbor. It looks like both restaurants are located in the same spot.I liked the "Sweet Potato Fries" and "Garlic Bread", but didn't like the "Fish & Chips"--too much batter and little seasoning. Fortunately, there are salt and pepper shaker on the tables.Service was really friendly. We had to sometimes call on them since we had a few requests, but once we did, they got back to us right away. Thanks to Flo and the night shift on 09/23/23!

The bottom line here is that this place is for tourists. Nothing special about the food. It's just a great location on the Santa Barbara pier. This may also be a place locals would take their visitors for lunch for the sights. Parking is a bit of a pain. Valet or maybe you can find something on the pier. Its not the easiest of places to park. Plenty of other spots to go that are nice for in town visitors. I will say that I thought their fish and chips were tasty. Usually just college kids working as servers so the service is medicore.Parking: they have valet so you don't have to worry about finding a spot on the pier.

The poor service of our waiter made the experience painfully disappointing. His attitude reflected the guaranteed gratuity and refusal to allow payment for one simple entree by giving a separate bill to do so. His attitude and the run down decor and the unclean washrooms made my experience as a customer less than enjoyable.

Food isn't the best. Proportions are smaller than others. Wait staff is amazing. You're mainly paying for the excellent ocean and harbor view.

Honestly I’d probably never eat here again. It’s gone down hill since the last time i ate here a couple years ago. Sticky tables, dirty looking/stained deck, food was eh. Service was great

My friend and I went here because I don't eat seafood and they have several choices of non-seafood. I ordered a beach burger with no onion. What I got was a santa barbara burger. But it started with sitting there (you seat yourself) and waiting a good 10 minutes with no one coming to the table. On my way to the restroom, I asked a person if we could get menus. Then we waited another 10 minutes and had to ask someone if there was a server that could take the order. At this point, no one had come to the table yet to even ask if we wanted something to drink. Then we waited quite some time for our food. The restaurant was not that busy. They had several open tables. As mentioned above, I did not get what I ordered. When she put the meal down, I could see it wasn't what I ordered. I asked if this was a beach burger. She said, oh, I thought you ordered the santa barbara burger. Those names are not even similar. She offered to take it back and correct the order, however, I did not want to wait a long time again for the correct order so I said no and just ate it. It was okay, but I wouldn't order it again. But actually this is not a place I will go to ever again. The service was ridiculous. There didn't seem to be a manager on duty to see things were going well. Some of the servers just hung out and were talking. I think they just liked the fact that they could hang out at the beach. Very disappointed and I know for future visits not to come here. I will definitely find a different place.

Longboards offers a little more than what you'd expect from restaurant located in the touristy area of a high-end California beach town. Expect a lovely view and service by college students. But expect more from the food. Sure the burgers and shrimp taco were expensive, but they were surprisingly good. But the real kicker was the $19.00 mai tai. Expensive for sure, but it packed a wallop. They did not skimp, nor did they skimp on my wife's glass of wine. We will return to Longboard's.
