Best carne asada torta I’ve ever had even while it was cold. The carne asada burrito was mostly beans i would say at least 45-50% of the burrito was just beans which is a lot considering the burrito was huge. The champurrado and arroz con leche were very good too. I wasn’t a big fan of the tres leches because it had shredded coconut on the top of it

I ordered 2 tamales via GrubHub. I get there almost 20 minutes after my order is placed and upon asking for my order the man at the front said "Oh, GrubHub doesn't send us the orders put through the app, but I can ring you up and make it now". So not only are they allowing people to make orders they "never receive" through GrubHub, they try to get you to pay twice aka scam you. I told them they shouldn't allow orders on GrubHub if there are issues they can't or won't solve with the system, he just shrugged. Honestly, it was a blessing in disguise because as I waited not only was the place unbearably warm with perishables all around, I saw a COCKROACH scurry by the front counter as I was waiting. Beware of this place and their business practices, but especially their cleanliness. Do yourself a favor and go to Rosales or another place nearby. Great food, great service, and adequately clean facilities.

I did an order for my office, 29 people, gave them a day heads up. They got every order right and everyone in my office was very happy with their meal. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

Delicious tortas, and the place smells amazing because of the fresh pan! The chipotle sauce that comes with the side salad is amazing!!

Small panadería throwback to Haley Street before the bougie coffee, hipster beer, and other spillover across the freeway (I.e. the Haley Street N*** Herder celebrates in their iconic tune “Down on Haley”). In addition to great Mexican pastries, wonderful tamales during Christmas time. Rajas, pork, chicken. $3/tamale and you have to order in advance but worth it.

Fantastic tres leche cake and wedding cookies. Super reasonable prices.

Life is too short for bad bread. My 1st & only visit. Dropped in to buy pan dulce to take to my godmother. It was subpar to say the least. My godmother took a bite of a custard empanada and could not bring herself to swallow the dehydrated paste. I CRINGED! Bought 1 concha, 3 different kinds of empanadas. Total of about 6-7 items. The other empanadas had a memory of its filing. Only a dehydrated sticky film on the inside. Didn't get a picture of the custard only the fruit flavored ones. The concha was a fossil. It was probably good when it was fresh. The other variety of sweet bread also not worthy of recommendation. Definitely picked the wrong day to visit this bakery; seems people enjoy it. Bummer. It was about 2:30 in the afternoon. Saddest thing is they had racks ( I mean racks) of bread behind the counter already made that could have been fresher and better.

Wow!! This little unassuming bakery & deli offers smoothies, tortas, burritos, plate lunches, and Mexican pastries. I saw them on Axxess and decided to try them out. I got a carne asada torta and it was delicious! Love that they press the sandwich. ($10) Their chipotle dressing was sooo tasty on their mini side salad. Their el americano burrito was a speciality breakfast burrito with cheese, eggs, diced red potatoes, ham, bacon & sausage. It was PIPING hot. Be careful! And hefty too. ($8.75) it was everything you want in a breakfast burrito. Their Spanish rice was simple and yum. ($3.50) And I got a slice of cheese cake for $4.50. Prices and menu are all on their website: Everything was affordable, fresh, and sooo delicious! Highly recommend this hole in a wall spot.

Let's put the spotlight on a small local businesses shall we? Let me tell you about Los Tarascos Bakery. It's a hole in the wall business that's been here since... probably before I was a little girl . I just know it's been there forever. Anyways I'm grown now and it turns out dessert doesn't magically appear at family events. I threw a baby shower for my sister last weekend and I saw a "gelatina" (Mexican jello) on Pinterest I wanted; so I went over and asked if it was something they could make. I met with Sonia, the gelatina maker, showed her the picture of the gelatina I wanted. She was honest with me about her skill and what she was capable of. I LOVE THAT!! So after some adjustments she said she could make the gelatina. So I ordered 2 of them. YOU GUYS. I was speechless. Please see the pictures below. Everyone at the baby shower was asking "Where did you buy that gelatina!!??" I was so proud of the end result. Not only is this place a bakery, you can get fresh squeezed OJ, fruit smoothies and sandwiches. Please visit them, these people deserve more attention . Ask for Sonia!
