I’m from Philadelphia so I often seek out local Italian ice (“water ice”) spots to try. This was by far THE BEST I have found!!! I mixed the melon and watermelon. The flavor was amazing and the texture was perfect (soft, smooth, no clumps of ice). We can’t wait to come back to SB to have it again!

It's a very quaint, small, and clean shop along State Street. The flavors are interesting, very fresh tasting and delicious. Ask for a sample, if you're curious.We tried a small cup with coconut and mango and it was terrific. For the quantity and quality, the price is fair.This is a nice change of pace from ice cream.

I love Mangione's! I never knew italian could be made with dairy (lactose free) and I LOVE mixing the flavors. They come up with new flavors from time to time which is fun to try. All of it is bomb. Definitely a great local, family owned spot in SB!

Friendly service and tasty Italian Ice make Mangione's a must return. I guess this goes without saying, but go into Mangione's with your expectations set correctly. The ice does not have the richness of ice cream or gelato...for obvious reasons. But if you want a tangy refreshing ice during a downtown shopping spree. Look no further. We will return.

All is can say is SB has a new gem with Italian Ice - YUMM! They have been here for a year, cute place!They have lemon, watermelon, mango, coconut and more and are generous with the tastings - I tried the lemon and coconut - both water based and lactose free based flavors respectively are just perfection. Wowweweeewowow!The Grande is only $5.50 and I was STUFFED, I had the Coconut with some blackberries from Tuesday night State Street farmers market for dinner and I’m still full at 9A the next day!Monique said her sister makes the gelato herself so this is a local hard working business I am happy to support without killing my health or pocketbook!Thanks Mangiones, we’ll definitely be back!

Refreshing, fabulous spot. A little bit of Italy in downtown Santa Barbara. Stroll on over, get your yummy ice to go, and walk and eat elegantly. It's not messy making like other ice cream. If you sit here, it's hard not to keep ordering more! Fruity, full of pure flavor ices. I'm smitten by the lemon and always get that one, crave able, so perfectly lemon. Love it.Dairy options. Try the combination flavors! We stopped by to try something new and so glad we did! TRY THE COMBINATION FLAVORS! I couldn't decide between two until I saw that you can pick any two flavors to combine. Their Italian ice is delicious and refreshing and the inside of the store is so cute! There was no line when we went, we just walked in and grabbed our Italian ice!

He went back inside and gave us a pint of the melon ice. We returned for seconds a few days later and were equally pleased.
