Try to find street parking to avoid the tiny parking lot!!!
Wonderful selection today, we had the double peanut butter chip and the black coffee chip. The $4.50 single scoop serving is more than enough! The price is better here at Mission Street Ice Cream than the places on the SB Wharf and the ice cream is way better!
They also have frozen yogurt and custard.
There is ample seating, inside and out.
They take cards and cash.
McConnell's ice cream and a wide variety of soft serve ice cream đŠ

I pulled in the parking lot to observe employees seemingly running off a disheveled man with a bag-who was sitting down at the tables outside. When I went inside to inquire if they had run him off, I was told âitâs for paying customers onlyâ. They did not say that he was being disruptive or harrassing. I left stating they just lost *this one time loyal customerâŠ
Completely unnecessary and disrespectful. Spend your money at another, more empathetic, place of business.

There are a lot of good ice cream options in the area, but this is THE place for us. A local institution, great selection with interesting flavors, friendly. Their peppermint stick is a family favorite. The parking lot is not great, streetside in the neighborhood is usually easier. Worth the outdoor line at rush times.

McConnellâs Fine Ice Cream deserves every bit of its stellar reputation as a pioneer in artisanal ice cream. From the very first bite, itâs clear that McConnellâs takes no shortcuts in delivering an extraordinary ice cream experience. The texture is sublimeâultra-creamy, perfectly smooth, and never overly sweet, allowing the natural flavors to shine brilliantly.

Great ice cream but bad service. The lady who served us ice cream was rude and very impatient. Service should be better.
Some of th3 best ice cream I've ever had. I make it a point to go whenever I'm in town

My first time going. It was a great experience. You must wait outside until you're summoned inside. Luckily it doesn't get too hot in this town or else you'd melt before consuming such amazing dessert. It's was in the 80s. We waited outside for 10 minutes or less. The ice cream was amazing. They allow 2 samples only. The worker was strict on the rules but a nice woman. There is an outside eating area which was nice as well(:
Vegetarian options: Everything is vegetarian, unless they put some meat in the ice cream. There were even some ice creams that were dairy free (:
Dietary restrictions: They don't have vegan ice creams. They use white sugar in the ice cream & for those who may not know, white sugar is bleached & therefore not vegan. Google for yourself. Fun facts there (:
Parking: The lot has 5 or so stalls. The streets is available to an extent.
Wheelchair accessibility: There weren't any stairs. The door was a double door, I believe.

One of my all time favorite places in Santa Barbara. In the last four years of living here, the people at Mission Street Ice Cream and Yogurt have always welcomed me with such a warm, positive attitude. The portions are generous and the ice cream is amazing!!
I had a particularly awesome evening when Eva (Ava?) helped me two nights ago. She was so generous and kind enough to answer all of our questions! Even on a super busy night she did not rush us and made sure we were happy with our order by the time we left! Canât wait to be back soon

I liked that they kept the line outside so that once you were inside you had immediate service and no crowding. The ice cream is great and there was just enough seating for people to sit down as they came out if they wanted.
