We had a very nice experience today. The waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommended.

Got the $90 seafood platter it was nasty! Crab meat looked old shrimp were drenched in old bay 3 oysters were good the rest morsel size, clams were tiny tiny and the whole platter was unappealing. Had to buy rolls as bread wasn't available and they were stale. I am grateful you were open for Thanksgiving but do better. Also the staff knew nothing about redeeming open table points, what a waste of money.

We had a lunch reservation on Thanksgiving Day. We were not notified that they were only serving a VERY limited menu - a traditional Thanksgiving menu (prix fix) and a small handful of appetizers. We were disappointed. We did have good service.

Why are 7 PM reservations allowed if the restaurant actually closes at 7 PM? We drove all the way here only to be rushed through the experience. If we hadn't arrived 15 minutes earlier than our reservation time, we wouldn't have even been seated. This is very frustrating and feels misleading. Please correct this issue so future guests don't face the same situation.

Moby Dick is always a great stop on the Santa Barbara waterfront! The atmosphere is relaxing with beautiful harbor views, and the service is consistently welcoming. I ordered the ribeye steak and it was cooked perfectly — tender, flavorful, and one of the best meals I’ve had in the area. Pair that with the ocean breeze and you’ve got an unforgettable dining experience. Definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in Santa Barbara!

This is such a classic Santa Barbara spot - plus it's got unbeatable views. Moby Dick Restaurant on Stearns Wharf is a total gem; it has that perfect mix of vintage seaside charm and classy old-school sailor vibes. Huge windows look right over the ocean, so every table feels like the best seat in the house. The seafood is fresh, portions are generous, and the staff is so friendly. It’s the kind of place where you can linger over a meal and just soak up the atmosphere and the sound of the waves, the salty air, and that timeless coastal energy. A must-visit for anyone looking for great food with a true Santa Barbara feel.

We weren't extremely hungry so maybe ordered the wrong things. The service was good and it is a nice place out on the pier. The food was good but not exceptional. The shrimp poorboy was bland and messy. The clam chowder was very good though. I would like to go back and try some other dishes.

Came here for breakfast and waiting for cruise..lovely place. Seating by window, enjoying boat passes by and little kids kayaking..birds flying by and some seals swimming by. Blessed day.
