Ordered the Chicken Scharma sandwich for lunch this past Thursday about 12:30 p.m. There were 2 women at an outside table eating and 2 women inside who were not eating and looked as though they either hadn't ordered or were just waiting for their order. After waiting an interminable amount of time I went up and asked if my order had been started because I was ready to cancel it otherwise. The waitress said it would only be a couple more minutes. I don't know why it took so long when they weren't busy but I will not return.Miss the Plaza Deli. It was the best and sorry it is gone.
Been here a couple times now, food was always great. Hummus is fine, but the schwarma—come eat it up!
I'm very familiar with Middle Eastern food. This restaurant has a truly authentic food. If you're into Middle Eastern food, I think you'd appreciate this place
First time at this place but won't be the last time. The food is very delicious and portions are delicious. The atmosphere is very you unique and the staff are very friendly as well. Hidden gem place in la Cumbria plaza.
I tried the food here... I should have gotten a slice of Pizza at Sbarro's!The Beef tacos were the most tasteless thing I've ever had. The fries and the tacos were lukewarm. They do not have any kind of salsa or hot sauce. And the tacos are just meat and parsley and a couple slices of some sort of pickle. Tahini sauce was drizzled on them as well. But that is not a good combo. The guy was nice enough b but needs a bit more personality! I can see why there was no one lining up to order and the prices are way too high. And to boot, even the Root Beer Soda was flat... no fizz at all! A waste of almost $25.00
Very nice place! The beef shawarma was delicious! The jasmine rice was so flavorful and the hummus was awesome!Waitress was new so not the best service experience, but the atmosphere and decor are lovely!
The worst mediterranean food we ever tried!!We waited for food to be ready more than an hour, though, there were no one except us in store. Then, food came once in a while, some of us finished their lunch before even the rest get their food.If you like to waste your money, just stop by there!!!.
I grew up in the Middle East and this place is by far the most authentic ME spot in Santa Barbara. I discovered place a few weeks ago and probably ordered food from there 6 times so far. I feel like I have to leave them a review at this point. The flavors of their shawirma are on point and the tabbouleh was great (though they don’t put much salt or olive oil on it but that’s probably because they’re trying to cater to a healthier audience).Shawirma and tabbouleh are very common in ME restaurants. What’s not common is knafeh, baked Zaatar and cheese, and other tasty things that this place makes. Tastes like home.
The lentil soup reminded me of the soup I had in Turkey. It whetted my appetite in a hot summer day, though it was a bit salty.
The reviews are full of 1-star and 5-star reviews. The 5-star reviews are completely faked or friends of the place because this place is kind of lousy and not worth coming back to and, honestly, I did regret even going after having the food.I came here last Tuesday and..The long wait time is true. The hummus and baba ganoush are good. The pita is bad.The fries are good..The shawarma and everything else is actually pretty gross tasting. The drinks looked tasty but expensive. Maybe $7.99?The food is weird. I love middle eastern food which is why I came here, but the shawarma and sandwiches, rolls, burgers had such a strange unappealing taste. They actually forgot to bring out one sandwich, but once we tasted the food, we were ok with it.I can’t imagine how hard it must be to start a restaurant. If the flavors were good here, I would love to come back.

Excellent chicken shawarma tacos. We ordered the chicken tacos and sandwich, tasty although fries were a bit undercooked. Tortillas and flatbread were nicely browned and a touch crispy. Deserted on a Tuesday at 12:30, we sat at a dirty dusty table outside. Our combination server/cashier/chef/busboy happily cleaned it for us. Hard to understand her but we got our order mostly correct. After ordering water I noticed she rang up an $8 watermelon juice instead, then corrected it when we brought it to her attention. Nice atmosphere outside, too bad they don't get more patrons.
Absolutely excellent quality and freshness . If your looking for high quality food this is the spot .
AMAZING FOOD!!Freshly cut fries, warm and toasty. Falafel was crunchy. Chicken was amazingly soft. Recommend it.
The food is not fresh and the meat is spoiled.
I have never had middle eastern food wrapped in a tortilla before! I could have walked over to La Salsa for a better meal. I felt cheated for what I paid for this bland and tastless food. I wont be going back. This was my second try....will not be a third. And to the response below by the owner....thank you for the advice....I wont be coming back.
