People should take into count, that this was the original store with Nona and Tino. Up until his passing. Tino wanted the store to continue as much as Nona, but his family fought for the rights of the name and took them away from Nona to open up the deli elsewhere and change everything Nona and Tino built together. She went through a lot and she's an elderly lady. It's still opened because it's her life and the only thing that makes her hold on to her late husband....
I was scared to try this place because of the other reviews, but our experience was pretty good. Our sandwiches had the perfect amounts of meat, veggies and condiments and the bread was fresh. They were very good. The service was slow, but in all fairness, the lady making the sandwiches was like 105 years old. She also couldn't work the credit card machine, (understandably, given the age) so we had to wait for someone to come back from break to ring us up.
It brings tears in my eyes I used to come here since I was 5 every weekend I came back and it brings back soo many memories I love this place it makes me feel like family 10/10 I love this place
