Local staple. Best bread around, imports all their flour from Europe. Sesame charcoal sourdough is an absolute banger.

Definitely thought maybe they served coffee, but they’re all bread. Staff wasn’t as friendly as I would hope, but the prices were great! I can see why it’s so popular. Items I ordered:
Sage garlic bun
Morning bun
Highly recommend!

First timer and YUM 😋 I really liked the gluten free seed bread. Lots of different seeds with a smooth texture and paired well with their jalapeño basil cashew spread. The loaf is heavy and dense, but maintained its moisture quite well.
Hubby loved the morning bun. We also loved the sourdough and focaccia. Looking forward to trying new breads and spreads next time.
The bakers all seemed pleasant on an early Saturday morning. Highly recommend!

I got the only gluten free option available and it was marginal. I am OK with spending more for a quality product but this was pricy and not that good. I won’t go back
Amazing unique scandinavian danishes. We went to the Oat bakery in Montecito first then found that they've sold out on one of the breads we were wanting to try, the frosnapper. Luckily the downtown branch had a few left so we hurried over to this one. It is good to know that there's several oat bakeries in the area and they may all carry different items. All the breads were good.

Wow, where to begin?! The array of delicious breads are so tempting. The seeded and charcoal sourdough are some of our favorites as are the gluten-free cookie with seeds and chocolate… And that focaccia wow the olive focaccia or their farmers specialty.
Our daughter lives in Paris and we spend a lot of time there so we get to taste a lot of good bread Still the oat bakery in our sweet town make some of the best bread bar none in the world
And let’s talk about the spreads… They are so good. You have a variety of different organic spreads that might have some chives or truffle… Whether you are plant-based or not, you will be happy to know they are completely plant based no dairy and easy on the heart and the digestive system
Sometimes I go there just for the spread, but of course walk away with the bread too

Looking for a loaf of sourdough for a camping trip, my best friend and I stumbled into Oat Bakery at the end of their day. We were greeted by 3 smiling girls cleaning up for the day. Left with two loafs of day old and a warm feeling. Enjoyed the bread with breakfast lunch and dinner, looking forward to each slice. Now a staple on our SB camping trips.
Oat was one of the best places we went during our time in Santa Barbara. We tried it early on during our trip and couldn’t stop talking about it and returned to get more. Our favorites were the sage/garlic bread, super seed cookie, and cinnamon bun. All were so fresh and perfectly made. The staff was also friendly. This is a place I would recommend to everyone going to Santa Barbara.
Of note- it is primarily for take out as there is not any seating on the inside.
I love this place and this is the go to for Holidays. The spreads are delicious and breads are always such a hit at our Thanksgivings, Easters, and Xmas Dinners.Definitely check this place out! The spreads are my favorite, the ingredients are all Whole Foods, no processed crap. Yum!
Yes yes and yes again! The garlic sage bread was one of the best breads I’ve had in The States. And the cinnamon morning bun had just the right amount of sugar and left an amazing aftertaste. Wish I would have grabbed more to go before leaving Santa Barbara. This place will remain on my radar! Definitely a must try if you’re in the neighborhood!
Good bread but OUTRAGEOUS pricing...$14 for a loaf of sourdough! The bread is not that good. I make sourdough and the ingredients are flour and water, so this price is ridiculous and elitist. How are regular people supposed to afford?! I guess they only care about Montecito customers.
