Been coming here for every date night for a year. Tonight another date night but…I spilt an entire beer in my LAP and was soaking wet. Server said I just had to buy another one instead of offering a replacement as a curtsy. Disappointed considering the hundreds of dollars I’ve spend here this past year. Service level of a Chipotle.

The service here is excellent. Olivia, the hostess and Sarah our server really made the night wonderful. The food is very tasty although not authentic Japanese. It’s well seasoned and delicious. The rooftop deck is romantic, quiet, and provides a great view of the ocean.

Cool place to hang out for some yummy sushi. We sat up top to feel the warm sun and check out the sites along the beachfront. Worth visiting when in the neighborhood. Indoor and outdoor seating both available. Free 90 min parking nearby, but plenty of paid parking lots if needed.

We had Jaime as our server and OMG he was amazing and dinner was delicious !! My husband loved all rolls and the braised ribs. I got the salmon skin roll and it was the best one I've had and their fresh wasabi was so so different from the other fresh wasabi we've had. Can't wait to come back !!!

We had booked a resy for 2 plus our pup. We sat in the patio. Food: We had ordered Korean cauliflower , shrimp fried rice, negi toro roll, 4 nigiris (squid, eel, tuna, uni) and sashimi (hotate and yellowtail). Everything tasted good Negi toro roll was overpriced for what we got. Sashimi was worth the cost and the uni MP was $20 for 2 pieces. Fish was so fresh. Fried rice had the wok taste which. I was craving. I can't emphasis how good was sashimi was. Service: Lovely waitress. We are a couple that looked at the menu prior to coming so we waited maybe 10 minute to put drinks in than 15 min for food. I wish we could put our order in all at once but think the kitchen was staggering orders at the time Atmosphere: Lounge vibe. Patio was lively and tables next to us kept drinking so volume increased in the 2 hrs we sat there. It was fine but just to mention if anyone has sensory issues

My husband and I were visiting Santa Barbara from Orange county. We were not sure what to expect. Our surpassed all our expectations. Everything was so good! I forgot our servers name but she was so sweet and super helpful picking out some delicious items. We also got the scorpion shell drink and it was so good!

I really can't say enough good about this hidden gem that has an incredible Japanese fusion focused menu, elevated customer service, and just a total high energy vibe. I literally dream of their crispy rice, small plate and have to have it every time I come to Jacksonville. It truly is an incredible date night, family night, friend night, solo night, whatever. 
Oku was outstanding! Drinks were unique and every dish as well as the sushi was exceptional.

I had an early dinner here in July 2025 with my husband and we haven’t stopped thinking about it ever since. The sushi was FRESH, the hot food items were DELICIOUS, and the service was PHENOMENAL. Our server was Jaime and he gave us the most unforgettable experience. His recommendations were so spot on it’s like he knew exactly what we wanted. If Jaime is still there, please pass along our thanks to him. He’s the best server I have ever had in any restaurant ever. The atmosphere was great. We sat on the balcony in the corner and were able to see the ocean and get the beautiful sea breeze.
