Food was unbelievable as always. View was perfect and the weather cooperated. Jaime was amazing . All his suggestions were right on from drinks to rolls. I brought some friends out from back east. It was a really good experience. Thank you Oku

Seated quickly, food was outstanding, service very attentive. Only negative was that patio downstairs was a little loud due to street noise and they didn't turn on their party lights after sundown so, lighting got pretty dark after sundown.

Our server Peter was super knowledgeable on the menu and accommodating for allergies! The restaurant will gladly modify and offer alternatives.

This was our first time here, we were recommended this place from a friend. The sushi was phenomenal! Definitely give this one a shot you won't be disappointed!

Outstanding menu, execution, service and setting overlooking the harbor and pier. Oku does an amazing job; comparable to Nobu but a lot better value!

My favorite place to dine in SB. I do wish the hostesses were more excited about clients coming in. They seem more interested in their own conversations, feels like you are bothering them when you approach. Servers are always attentive and helpful.

Excellent food, the otoro especially. Great team, both kitchen and wait staff. Highly recommend.

Always great food and fantastic service. Music was cutting out randomly but was otherwise great being on the rooftop and pretty calm other than traffic noise.

The food was so good and our server was so sweet. I had the rainbow roll and Shashito peppers. Shout out to the hostesses as well we were running a little behind and they held our table.

It was ok. We tried to reserve outdoor dining but were only able to get a spot indoors with a res 6 weeks in advance. It was very loud inside and difficult to have a conversation at a two top. Food was average japanese fare, nothing super authentic or overly special, but a convenient place to go if you're in the mood for sushi in doentown SB. Service was friendly. We had to ask a few times for water to be filled. Expensive. Maybe the value is there if you get rooftop outdoor dining.

Food was OK but it has gone downhill over the years. Everything we ordered felt misrepresented on the menu typically lacking a key ingredient such as chili or garlic that would have made the dish excellent.

Arrived after 9pm for dinner; sat at the Bar. Service wasn't very good in the beginning but became a lot more attentive after I ordered appetizers and dinner. Was served primarily by Joshua S. at the bar; overall he did a good job. The servers were kind and attentive. Quality of the food was excellent and I was impressed by the Preparation of the Hamachi Kama and the Miso Black Cod dishes especially. I'd recommend Oku and have recommended for some tasty fish. The price is on the higher side but with that the quality is justified.

Love Oku, love the ambience and the food. Love the rooftop patio. However, arriving at 4 pm for dinner, there were no umbrellas. You can't sit in full sun and enjoy a nice dinner. Umbrellas are there for lunch, but gone for dinners. My cold glass of white wine soon became unpleasant.

As a vegan person, I LOVE their wide sushi vegan menu. Most of the Japanese restaurants I've been before, only have the basic roll of avocado and cucumber for vegans. Therefore, Oku offering all these different types of sushi rolls makes me want to come back quite often!!! Mushroom, peppers, asparagus, tofu, etc. Big vegan sushi menu!!! I highly recommend it
