My cousins and I visited this bar on Friday night, October 10, 2025, around 10:00 PM, and had an incredibly frustrating experience with the door staff. My younger cousin (age 25) presented a valid California ID, yet the bouncer insisted it was fake and refused to let him in. We even offered to call the police to verify the authenticity of the ID — which would have proven it was real — but the bouncer stated that they still wouldn’t allow entry even if law enforcement confirmed it.
This was extremely unprofessional and unreasonable, especially since all of us are of legal age (27, 30, and 25) and were polite and well-dressed. The staff’s attitude suggested either a lack of proper training in identifying valid California IDs or, worse, potential bias in how they choose who to let in.
It’s disappointing to see a business lose customers and big tippers too! Due to one employee’s poor judgment and unprofessional behavior. Management should seriously review how their door staff handle these situations because this kind of experience reflects very poorly on the establishment.

Music is always on point. Drinks are good and well priced in my opinion. Does get very crowded but that’s because Sharkeez’s DJ sucks so everyone ends up coming to O’Malleys. There is an upstairs and outside area so that helps if you need a breather. Definitely recommend this place when visiting SB.

Wouldn’t let my friend in even though her ID was real, she had 2 forms of ID and we had literally just come from Wildcat, Dargans, and Sandbar. We told them to call over the police officers that were right there to prove it was real and they wouldn’t

Have you seen the show Cheers? It's kinda like that mixed with It's Always Sunny. A wild cast of characters on both sides of the bar, but everyone cares about each other and having a good time. What more could ya want from an Irish Pub?

If I could put zero stars I would. Not only did my partner and I go in this establishment with pure intentions of getting a drink but wished to use the bathroom first and the bartender(bouncer¿) was nothing but rude and disrespectful. We did not approach him with any hostile or malice intention but he completely disregarded this and was mean, kicked us out, and did not allow us to use the bathroom even though we intended to stay.
