I ate at Opal tonight in a party of 6 as we regularly do on Christmas Eve. The food was good, but I was surprised to see a 20% ‘large party’ surcharge added to our bill. I can only imagine some parties don’t notice this and add a similar service charge!
Opal is always a fantastic choice! The food was on point as was the service I received from Sam. All courses were timed perfectly. I love this place and make a point of dining every time I visit Santa Barbara. 
Great restaurant! Attentive staff, pleasant environment - my wife and I both got fish entrees and they were incredible, along with the vegetables, risotto and sauces that came with it! Great date night location!
