Peet's has the best coffee in the area. The espresso is hand pulled and consistently high quality. I especially like the whole milk mocha. Baristas are always trained. They seem to have improved the snacks offered, they were mediocre until recently, but really, you go to Peet's for coffee. No longer offer teas.

Came here with the intent to buy some coffee and do some work. On both the website and the app it is stated that the location closes at 5:15p on Fridays. After being there for about 45 minutes I was informed that the cafe would be closing at 3:30p??? I even checked the door when walking out and it also said they close at 5:15p. I am frustrated because I drove 20 minutes to get here with the intent of getting some work done. Moving forward I will definitely go to a coffee shop that is truthful with their operation hours and would recommend others to either call the cafe prior or pick another coffee shop completely. This was pretty unprofessional and deceiving. Everything else was fine.

This place has the worst atmosphere. It’s probably because of Carol. One bad apple can ruin the whole bunch & she did!! This place stinks!! Just go to Starbucks & have yourself a great day. The rejects in here have already ruined the vibe.

The workers here won’t even look at you much less say hi. The barista Carol is miserable & will kill any positive vibe. Will not visit again.
I used to love going to Peet’s because they were one of the few coffee chains where you could find loose leaf tea (puehr) and bags of coffee that had a roast date on them along with the expiration date.
If you want loose leaf tea near this location vices and spices from around the world is down the street.

Sharing my detailed experience here at Peet’s Wow I must say ; Carol drop the attitude first off and never correct a customers pronunciation while they talk especially with a rude unprofessional attitude . Upon entering Peet’s with my wife and her service animal . A common reminder was given about service animal access to the building , No further issue occurred after I announced to the staff that the dogs was indeed a service animal. This review wasn’t about that . This is about a staff member named Carol who woke up this morning and said to herself “m going to be rude and un professional towards paying customers today at Peet’s coffee on state st “
All coffee lovers can agree we start our day with a delicious cup of choice and often love great service to start off a busy day Nothing worse than trying to grab that morning drink and getting treated wrong with attitude from the persons talking the order.
Our family will not be returning here
And if your a Dog lover and progressive activist in this community I wouldn’t either #bad label

I can't say its coffee is better than Starbucks. But it has unique taste, I order double shot expresso with steam half and half. It tastes stronger than starbucks, but I pay one dollar more than what I pay for the same drink in starbucks! The store is usually less busy than starbucks. Unique atmosphere!
