The mall should subsidize this place for all the people it brings into la cumbre plaza. Best sandos in SB.Has a lot a character, great subs, and unique sodas. Also extremely dog friendly.
Having to wait outside is d**** The owner seemed like he could care less how long you wait. People just walk inside cutting in front, asking questions or for condiments. Ordered the California steak and it was just drenched in Alfredo sauce, not good.
One of the best sandwiches I've had for a while. Good bread and fresh ingredients , equal a good meal. I will definitely refer..
I have been coming here for 15 + years. Larry is good people.Always happy and helpful. Talks to his customers and keeps subs flying out the door at a reasonable pace. He’s got a good heart supporting C.A.R.E.4Paws and no child hungry. Please come support him great food and even more sodas!
My son and I joined a group of about five people lined up outside. The owner seemed overwhelmed and we don't blame him!The sandwiches were decent but nothing to bring us back for.I hope this local iconic deli can keep up with the current customer needs.
The best sandwich spot I've been to in Santa Barbara. The atmosphere of the deli is great with the jukebox and bottle caps all over the walls. They have a good soda and sandwich collection and it's made fast with a generous amount of food. A 12 inch can last two meals because of how filling it is.
Best kept secret for a deli in Santa Barbara. Sandwiches are HUGE! Get a New York deli vibe walking in and the list of sandwiches couldn’t be better!
Sandwiches are always quite good. I would recommend the roast beef sandwich. A wide selection of beverages as well.
Owner is rude and an angry person. The young tall kid making sandwiches didn't have his nose covered. When my boyfriend asked him to please cover his nose, the owner yelled at us, "Don't tell my employees what to do!". Kid was polite and did in fact cover his nose. But the owner who is known for being rude, started yelling and screaming for us to get out of his shop.
Best meatball sub on the Central Coast, hand down!

Great hidden spot! Thanks Larry.
Tried a couple of their hot dogs. Good food, just not my favorite. If they offered a hot dog bun in place of the French roll, I would give them 5 stars. I just don't care for all the bread.
Plaza Deli is one of the best delis in the Santa Barbara area!Sandwiches are deelicious filled with fresh, lean meats, fresh cheeses, great salads. Sub bread is always soft and fluffy!I love the Turkey on a roll, roast beef, pastrami! Have a great hot dog too!
What's not to love about the oldest/ longest standing deli in town! GREAT PEOPLE, PRICES, FOOD AND ATMOSPHERE....
Always delicious sandwiches. You'll never be disappointed.
