My experience from the moment I arrived after a long drive into town I was greeted by my serve Sybil. Noticing I was tired from a long drive she seated me with an incredible view and said relax, The crispy calamari she suggested was right on Point, Thank you, Sybil and reunion kitchen

California comfort food, with combinations only seen in California. Wife had avocado wontons which combined avo, watermelon, cucumbers and a couple of other things and was delicious. I had stodgy old beef stroganoff, but tricked out with the best short ribs and even the noodles were the best in a long time, with other flavors that lit it up. Also, the portions are generous, no skimping here on the appetizers or main dishes. It ain't cheap but definitely worth it! Oceanfront, with plenty of overhead heaters for the colder times, and indoor and outdoor seating. The staff were ALL excellent and very nice!

I’ve dined here many times and always received good service. Perhaps because this time it was take out the service was not great. Ordered a $26.00 burger that was supposed to come with a side of fries. I asked the server to include a side of ranch for the fries. When I got home there were no fries. The help seemed to be more interested in visiting with each other rather than checking my order. I have asked that the cost of the fries be credited back to my card but I have not heard back from them.

Food was very good and big portions. We ordered the portobello sandwich and the chicken-Brie sandwich. Both delicious but one half of the sandwich would have been enough. The French Fries were also very good. Nice heated patio with beach views. Service was not the best, a little attitude from our waitress but it did not completely ruined the experience.

Omg I would be in heaven if these guys would have a takeout window like shoreline cafe… with a small menu of affordable eats (and maybe togo drinks?). Chips & salsa…. Burgers…. Small easy stuff. Affordable for the hoi polloi!

Edit: also, see the nice flat, secure cardboard togo boxes that On the Alley uses - your big thick plastic bags sometimes feel like unnecessary plastic, especially when I’m just getting one item? Just another 2 cents!

The meal was amazing! I am so grateful I had Sybille as my server. She steered me in the right direction! The steak salad is wonderful. The warm potato salad was a treat, the mixed salad was fresh, and the beef well seasoned and cooked. I'd definitely come back for the salad. After such a great entree, I asked Sybille for a recommendation for dessert, and the warm butter cake did not disappoint! Both plates were completely enjoyed.

I typically expect restaurants with a view or on the beach to have food that's more average but not here! It was both scenic and delicious!

Discovered the best Happy Hour around. Walked and pushed over from our hotel (lovely walk). The beach view from the patio is amazing. We were eyeing entrees until the Happy Hour (M-F 2:30-6:00) menu came. The HHM has some amazing cocktails at crazy prices. We tried three different ones. A couple of unique food items are on the HHM as well; we settled on the $14 sampler (Bruschetta, Bacon Jalapeños, and Spare Ribs), another amazing value. The Bruschetta was the standout, but we enjoyed all three. We split the delicious and massive Wedge for greens. Our server was very helpful and friendly. Three drinks and the food came to a little over $70 with tax, view included. That’s pretty amazing. We plan to come back before leaving town.
