Excellent. Delicious flavors. Attentive, kind service. Well crafted cocktails especially during weekdays. Reasonably priced. Go here!

Wow! What an amazing experience! The food was to die for! I always think, when a waiter says don’t order that, your meal comes with whatever, it’s a good sign and OMG!

It was my first time traveling to Santa Barbara and Santo Mezcal did not disappoint! I ordered the Cabo enchiladas and a Paloma to drink and both were delicious!!! I’ve been telling everyone back home in Texas about this place. Cannot wait to go back.

Good service and food. But music is too loud. Cant hold conversations. I have perfect hearing otherwise.

This place was the definition of a 5 star experience!
Of course you have to have great food, which they did. Every dish was amazing. The drinks were also excellent.
But that is just the start.
You also need great service, which they had. We were seated quickly, drink order was taken quickly, and the food was delivered at the right pace.
And it is a great looking place.
I will definitely be coming back to this place every time I am in Santa Barbara!

A gem. If you are in Santa Barbara visiting and love Mexican food this a spot you definitely want to give a try. They start off with some chips and salsa with three different kind of salsa that are like an all star trio, very good. Me and my dad had the Ribeye steak tacos while my mom had a chicken salad that she said was very good. All of the food was on point 🔥. Service is great, atmosphere is also excellent. There inside and outside seating. We decided to sit outside since it was a nice weather day out, but if it does happen to cool down as the night settles in, no worries. They have heating lamps that they will put towards you to keep you warm and enjoying the outside experience. Definitely a new go to when I’m in Santa Barbara! We got there right on time but I will warn it filled up pretty fast, so seating time can vary. They also have a barcode you can hit just in case you have any type of food allergies. It will navigate you to their site, select what foods you are allergic to and the menu will take off all items that contain those foods you are allergic to. 💯

This place never misses. Had enchiladas verdes and duck carnitas tacos with side salad. Rich, fresh, and delicious. Also had a margarita mora. Delicious.

We just arrived in Santa Barbara this morning and needed to grab a quick lunch before going to our scheduled Bellosguardo House tour. This place was delicious. The tortilla chips are out of this world, the guacamole is fantastic, the steak tacos are delicious and the cocktails were refreshing. The service and atmosphere were exceptional. We will be in town for five days and we will definitely be back to try more items.

We were extremely disappointed with our experience. My dish was completely inedible .I couldn’t eat more than one bite. My husband’s dish was okay, but definitely not worth the price. When the waiter came to ask if everything was fine, I told him it wasn’t, and he just walked away without saying anything. At the end, another waiter came and we explained again that I hadn’t eaten anything. He simply responded that “this is how the dish is” and offered no apology or gesture. Very unprofessional service and absolutely not worth it. We will not be coming back.

The menu is modern Neo-Californian with Mexican emphasis. This is obviously a trendy location and the food is cooked well and good flavors but I wouldn't expect this to be a gastronomic adventure by any means. My main problem with it is that it is crowded and noisy. The kitchen is very noisy, unfortunately sitting next to the bathroom also means sitting next to the kitchen, so I don't know what was worse the sharp, piercing noise of silverware in my ears or getting bumped by guests on their way to and from the bathroom. The servers were prompt, rushed, experienced. Long wait time to be seated. Honestly the way they pack this place I wonder if it's a fire hazard, what's the total number allowed inside. Anyway, than you for the experience, I noticed a bridal shower was present on the other side of the restaurant as well as a birthday so it is a nice place for many people to celebrate.

I was excited to try this restaurant, but disappointed because they do not take food allergies seriously. They actually have a QR code on their menu that they suggest you use in order to indicate your food preferences/allergies. However, the QR code does not work properly and left me further confused with my ordering options. The manager was super nice and told me that my waiter could help me, as long as I let them know my dietary needs. The waiter was helpful and competent, however, it’s very clear that the kitchen staff does not care what goes out to the table. Our guacamole had cheese in it, even though I indicated that I have a dairy allergy the waiter told me that the guacamole contains zero cheese. It was very alarming and disappointing. It wasn’t just a “no cheese preference”, it’s lactose intolerance. The manager took the dish off our bill but I had already consumed some of it. The chefs don’t care and if they’re accidentally spilling cheese in the guacamole and folding it in to hide it, it’s not good service and harmful to patrons that want to dine without the fear of accidentally consuming something harmful to them.

Having half the back bar being displaying all the lovely agave spirits they have to offer but spirit list or pricing for any of them is a big draw back. They should also offer flights to help encourage people to try new and exciting flavors from the wide range of tequila and mezcal.
