We decided to have a late dinner at Santo Mezcal instead of any other establishment. It was right by our hotel. We have been traveling to SB for the Wine Fest for over 9 years and have frequented this place quite a few times. Last night 6 of us were ordering dinner. Felt very rushed since the waiter said the kitchen was closing. We all placed our orders. The meals came out pretty fast. I ordered the shrimp tacos. I took a shrimp and put it in my mouth took 2 or 3 bites and immediately had to spit it into my napkin. The shrimp was hard and tasted like it was spoiled. It almost made me sick. I told the waiter about it. No apology from him
He asked if I wanted anything else and I said no absolutely not now but you could comp me the flan I ordered for take out. He mumbled something and walked away. If it wasn't for my coworkers there with me I would have called the manager. Needless to say it was a huge disappointment. I will go back for the chips and salsa only.
Went for breakfast and lunch.
Both were very fun.
Well done team
I loved the chips & salsa & avocado. The la fresa marg was so good made as is. & the rib eye tacos, no cheese... amazing!
Fancy Mexican and some.great flavours. Just think i rather my Mexican more authentic street level
They were out of duck carnitas and pork belly tacos! On the 4th of July long weekend of all times. I settled for the crispy tacos. It was good but I'd really rather have the pork belly tacos that the server recommended when we sat down. Oh well. Maybe next time. Service was good and attentive. Got a complimentary flan dessert for a birthday but no candle.
The crab enchiladas inspired the video. The other food was great as well!
This was one of those meals that will be remembered for a long time. The food was perfect (we had ceviche, a mole enchilada, and a couple kids burritos), and the margarita was on point (tamarindo with mezcal). Best food we had on our trip to Santa Barbara!
Great Mexican food and street scene.

Food was well prepared with generous portions. We had the salmon tacos and al pastor.
Seating is both indoor and outdoor. When it colder, there are heat machines to help you stay comfortable outdoors.

We had spent the weekend in Paso Robles and decided to drive down 101 back home. We stopped over for lunch and got seated right away. Although the usher who seated us could have been more welcoming. With that in mind we were a little nervous, "did we make the right choice"?. But after that it was a culinary delight. The Jamaican margarita was excellent, chips were perfectly warm and I loved the salsa. The Ceviche were very flavorful with right amount of tanginess. The base sauce of the enchiladas was very flavorful as well
