Drinks are great, atmosphere is great, however it can be very loud when busy, and service at the bar can be slow when they are busy, though understandable, it’s something to be aware of when they are busy. I went last night for the first time and enjoyed the experience. It is a lively atmosphere, on the louder side (it was a less busy Friday) and the drinks were good. The service was great- the staff and bartenders were very attentive. For example, I left my self-serve water glass near my cocktail, and it was empty because I drank the water and a bartender refilled it without me having to ask. The staff was so attentive & polite! Will be back again! Recommend to anyone that wants to be in a lively friendly environment with the potential to meet strangers and/or be around some chatter, joy and merriness!

Shaker Mill has some of the best bartenders in Santa Barbara making some of the best drinks. Skip Broad Street. Overpriced, subpar, ownership has decided that a thin skin and public attacks are more important than maintaining quality.

Paul, Emma, Justin, and Jason really killed it, service wise.Al the drinks are amazing. They have $6 tequila shots. You can't find that anywhere else on State Street.

This is my favorite bar in Santa Barbara and I doubt that will ever change. Miss the chongo shot but the espresso shot and a Bay of Santiago will always and forever hit the spot. Every. Single. Time.Everyone who works here are professionals and friendly. Never ever had less then a stellar time.

This is a great spot. the bar area is pretty nice and the space is pretty open. there is some seating out front on state st which is nice if you want to people watch. This place is on lower state st. It also shares a space with broad street oyster company. This is like the 2nd or 3rd place that has turned over in there. Used to be modern times. Surprisingly, the burger at broad street is pretty good. Its pretty small too. Shaker mill is a nice place to come to every now and then. The long tables are nice for gatherings with friends. Not sure how popular it is these days. Seems like it was more popular in the past.
