The cashier was friendly, helpful and informative. The menu consists primarily of bar food with nod to SoCal BBQ. The restaurant location near the back of the Public Market provided ample seating for groups of all sizes. The abundance of wall-mounted televisions is sure to sate the appetite of even the most carnivorous of sports fans.

The Single Shooby with two patties is a good size and I liked the bun and char on the patties. However, the special sauce was very salty/tangy and overpowered the burger. I would order it on the side. The smashed patties also had a salty crust to them so it was just a lot of salt all around. However, the quality of the food was good and I would opt for a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, and onion next time.

There’s people here. And fake olive trees. Huge chandeliers full of driftwood. I feel less tired now, yet not uncomfortable. Usually being out of the house makes me itch down to the bone. I get hot and rashy, I feel the need to escape before anyone I’m with is ready to depart. On this occasion, I am alone. Alone because that is the way the universe wants it, because I didn’t push it. They tell you to fight until they tell you not to force. I get lost in thought quite frequently, that’s nothing new. It’s almost as though I’m not here…“That’s not the card reader,” says the young man behind the bar. I am startled, gazing down to realize I am hovering my phone over the buzzer thing they give you, the brick that beeps and vibrates when your order is ready to be picked up. I hand over my phone sheepishly before discovering a second surprise…It’s happy hour.

I tried the breakfast smash and the oat smoked yep tip sandwich and both were super tasty! Didn’t have any problems with the service either.

I knew I loved Shalhoob's and the market location is great because there is plenty of seating and there are a variety of food options. We had a breakfast sandwich, chipotle peach rib tips and the street corn. Delicious! Lots of napkins needed

Horrible service! Rude! Won't be going back! Skip would be disappointed I'm sure!
Burgers are good. Chicken nuggets are not really chicken.

Similar to In-N-Out but better, lots of sauce and good amount of meat, probably the best burger I ever had. Didnt have to wait long either!
Ordered the tri tip sandwich half of the meat was chewy.

Fun smash burger that’s super rich and hearty. The meat reminded me of a doily all around the bun. I also liked the addition of the pickles to cut the fat in the burger. The fries were standard and good.
We had lunch here as it was right across the street from the Ensemble theater production. We couldn't find the entrance to the supposedly free underground parking lot but since it was Sunday, we were able to park on the street. Most of the restaurants were very busy so we ate at the Pizza/Italian counter and enjoyed it!
Shalhoob's: We loved the broccoli and avocado salad. The loaded fries were good with the beef brisket and melted cheese, but they seemed a little too salty. Several beers on tap (plus a couple of ciders) with additional wine, seltzers, and bottled/canned beer. We sat at the bar, which had a large TV showing a soccer game. Bartender was very nice - you place your order with the bartender and are given a buzzer. When, the buzzer goes off, you pick up your food at the kitchen window elsewhere in the food court. Rori's Ice Cream: Nice, creamy consistency and a nice mix of standard and modern flavors. The strawberry cheesecake and the peanut butter cup was delicious. We liked that they had a small size, which was $4 and a nice after-lunch treat.
Very cute place to eat and grab a drink! Lots of eateries to choose from but be warned, the Mexican eatery is clearly the customer favorite with lines way too long to stand in! We had delicious margherita pizza from the pizzeria. The vendor was professional & friendly. The market hospitality staff were very attentive and quick to mop, sweep and sanitize the tables as soon as patrons leave. I was impressed with that level of attention to the place. The only negative is that the women’s restroom is way too small with only two stalls.
Delicious food in a super fun atmosphere!
