This is a pretty decent dive bar located on the 1200 block of state. The drinks are good and the bartenders are friendly. Its a nice place to hang out. They also have a pool table which is great. Last time I was here was had drinks and then got take out from the BBQ place next door while we were waiting for a sunken gardens movie to start, I think that place went out of business though.Parking: Plenty of parking. If you can't find street parking, find a paid lot.

The Sporty is my happy place and when I walk in, even though it's a newish location- it still feels like home. The staff are all wonderful, they pour a great drink and the juke box ( do they still call it that?) will play songs that warm my heart.

This bar is luring in customers with lies. There's a big sign outside that says Happy Hour is from 4-7pm. However, when you pay, they tell you that there is no happy hour on weekends, and that it doesn't even apply to cocktails. So why is this table out there?? This is deliberate deception of consumers, it should be punished!

Girl bartender last night was absolutely horrible and needs to be fired. Intoxicated and rude, horrible customer service and starting fights and arguments with guests and was making absolutely no sense. I’m a bartender in town so I’m super easy going and always on service folks side but this was terrible. Never do this but management needs yo know and will be following up.Shane because this place is great
First time coming here last night and the new bartender behind counter was intoxicated and out of control with customers, she was irate and was having emotional meltdown in front of everyone , that is not acceptable when running a place of business and on top of it she couldn’t figure out how to work the cashier and was mixing up cards and couldn’t figure out how to print receipts so she resorted to cussing out customers, I will be following up with management on this.
