I usually enjoy coming to Starbucks, but my recent experience left a lot to be desired. The barista on duty was noticeably unfriendly and seemed irritated when I asked a simple question . There was no greeting, no smile, and barely any eye contact throughout the interaction.

To make matters worse, the bathrooms were disgusting. I NEVER BEEN IN A BATHROOM this awful smelling and dirty.

I hope this is addressed, as it affects the overall experience of my future visits to this specific location.

This post is about sustainability! I was so disheartened to see so much greenwashing in your signage, then enter the shop to see literally so much single use plastic being sold, normalized, discarded on site.

By 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish, and over 95% of the plastics we consume go straight to a landfill, the ocean, or get burned in the incinerator, which bettering our bodies as microplastics.

Will Starbucks as a major multimillion dollar corporation step up to actually incentivize folks using for-here mugs, or bringing their own?

If the small mom and pop shop down the street can give me a whole dollar off my cappuccino (check out Dune Coffee!) for bringing my own mug, then why can’t you?

For an oceanfront town especially, this feels absolutely atrocious to normalize such reckless consumption.

I hope you do more to help customers do better. And to customers who own a cup in their cabinet (I’ll guess most of you, unless you’re in dire circumstances, and if so, ignore!): I hope you also do better! Your use of single use plastics isn’t unique—it piles up, and it’s hurting us all. Bring your own mug or jar or cup if you remotely care about the ocean you live in!

Also by now there are far less harmful versions of bottled water you could sell. Maybe at least try for aluminum (infinitely recyclable) canned water?? The plastic bottled is another slap in the face to the local ecosystem.

Thanks for considering how to peddle less plastic while messaging real glassware on your signage and communications.

P.S. we were driving from Redding (further than Sacramento) to San Diego and just stopped for the coffee there because it was open and it was the best coffee from Starbucks ever!!! GOD BLESS YOU!!! YOY DESERVE HAVING YOUR OWN COFFEESHOP!

Very disappointed, because I am a Starbucks customer for the years and try to go to the restroom without ordering, but they refused me!!!

They told me that I had to buy something and only after that they would give me the code to the toilet.
But the Casa Comal which is next to the Starbucks, let me into the restroom without any ordering, just a pleasant people!

Sergio the barista was super rude, basically rolled his eyes the entire time I ordered a drink for my girlfriend. Seems like this is a reoccurring issue in this store. Seems like you need to teach your employees better customer service

When you order mobile order restroom is for customers only🤣 I don’t like to fill it, even if my order is not today! When you have a Starbucks everyday full life and spent in this company thousands of dollars I’m sure they should do not tell if this restroom for customers or not! Very disappointed all the time in Starbucks. Probably time to think if I want to support big company or smaller who will remember me like a customer always.

I’ve been coming to Starbucks for years, which means I’ve spent probably thousands of dollars here of the course of that time, like any other Starbucks customer. This morning I placed a mobile order and accidentally made a mistake on my end which meant my drink needed to be remade. I told the barista I was sorry for my mistake because he had to remake it. Upon his remaking it, I asked for a little more cream on the side because it was little darker than my liking, I didn’t want to be an inconvenience a second time which is why I asked for it on the side. Upon my nicely asking for a little more cream on the side the barista Jack, rudely poured out the drink and proceeded to remake it, when he finished remaking it he gave me a what looked to be half an ounce of cream, I can see this barista is intentionally trying to make this more difficult for me. Realizing now that I wasn’t getting treated very nicely by this barista I asked someone else for a little cream, this barista’s name was Rose, she also made it very difficult for me to get a little bit of cream on the side as well, I’m assuming it’s because I watched Jack talking to her about what just happened between he and I. When I asked her, she proceeded to tell me “I’ll do it this time but not next time”. After being a Starbucks customer for 10+ years, spending so much money, even was an employee for this company at one point— I will NEVER spend another dime with Starbucks or any other locations. Teach your employees to treat customers with kindness and respect. We aren’t here trying to come up on some free cream, just want my coffee to be what I expect when it costs me $6. Thanks Jack and Rose for your awesome customer service.

I accidentally spray the sunscreen (have alcohol in it) into my eyes and felt burning. The staff told me to order to get the code for the bathroom. After i placed my order, the staff told me the bathroom is cleaning and don't allow me to use the staffs restroom tap even in emergency situation. Eventually i gave up coz of the awful feeling and went to find another restroom.

Fast and friendly baristas all around but Pilar shined a little brighter than the rest today! I came in with my mother to get out of the cold, gloomy and rainy weather for a bit and got a couple hot mochas. Pilar made our drinks perfectly! They were hot and brewed to perfection! But the icing on the cake for me came in the tiniest detail. She wrote a tiny, one word message on each of our cups and it somehow made the beverages taste a little bit sweeter and put a smile on both of our faces! Five star baristas at this location, we will be returning!

Worst service and rude baristas,

This location had the worst service and rude baristas. The staff are mean. One barista got mad about a mistake my four-year-old made and changed his mind. I even offered to pay for the change, but she didn't even respond.

A good-hearted team works really well together, and they pay attention to small details to show your care. Some of them are very sweet adding cute notes to your coffee to make your day goes better, and some of them are serious, but that does not anymean they are doing a magnificent job.
