I was hungry and went here for sushi but they are temporarily closed due to violation of building code. (As of Dec 7, 2023). Hopefully they are back soon.

DUDE!!!!! THE LOBSTER BAKE OMG. Yea I've had it about 12 times now.Avoid the lunch special though. The chicken is definitely prepaid by chef Mike "microwave" it's pretty much flavorless.

I give 5 stars because the fish was so fresh and it was quick nice service. But the sushi rice is really bad and they put so much of it. But the fish is delicious. Next time I’ll come back for sashimi. Also the location is awesome right in front of the water.

The place is exactly what the name says with a minor change it should be called “sushi to go”.It is not the best nor the worst sushi I have had. But I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here, or I wouldn’t come back here anytime soon when I could just try something new. I ordered uni, tuna and salmon nigiri. It was thin the tuna and salmon and not that fresh. Uni was good thou, one of the few I’ve enjoyed. I sat down in the chairs outside, I ordered and they brought the food to the table like a to go order and the only service I had was bringing my food at the table and the order at the cashier, which wasn’t a great interaction, neither happy nor welcoming. Atmosphere inside of the restaurant is very small, outside it’s crowded but the view I loved. If you are new to the area, like sushi and want to eat something on the go, this could be the place. But if you can wait, I’m sure you can try out some other place w a better environment and service, food well that could fluctuate. Everyone’s taste and experience are different so I wish you good luck and enjoy all of it.

One of those little holes in the wall. That is absolutely unbelievable. Every kind of sushi you can think of and maybe even a little sake. Excellent views. Crazy awesome

Has been my fav casual sushi spot in SB for the past 7-8 years. The fish is always so so fresh! Happy to see them being so busy all the time :) The value for money is the highest in town.Really appreciate you guys for providing such good food and good vibes right by the ocean!

Pretty delicious sushi in Santa Barbara ! Came here during a little mini weekend getaway with the hubby. We aren't familiar with the area but our Airbnb host actually recommended this place. Food - I ordered a rainbow roll and a salmon avocado roll. Both were very delicious and the fish was surprisingly very fresh! My husband ordered something separate and I can't remember what it was but he also was surprised at how fresh the fish was. We also tried the miso soup which was just okay. DlService - Incredibly friendly and everyone seems very attentive. They check on the customers all the time and it seemed like there was always one person outside to make sure that everyone was okay.Ambiance - They only have outdoor seating which is just fine because the view from the piers are lovely. You get to see the sailboats, the hills, the water, etc. The restaurant itself is small - it seems mostly for take-out. The only thing that I found most challenging but wasn't a huge inconvenience was the parking. There's a huge parking lot but it can be quite a walk to get to the restaurant, especially if it's a busy weekend so expect to do some walking just to get to order some sushi from here!

Great spot for oceanfront casual sushi!I was surprised with the quality of the fish here. With how casual a spot it is, I didn’t expect the sushi to be that good! The spicy tuna really hit the spot. That being said, a few complaints:• the menu had no pricing listed. turned out to still be relatively costly, which was unexpected for how casual the ambience is… $10.75 is overpriced for a spicy tuna roll.• the lady at the register yesterday was in a very negative mood. I understand having an off day, but this was almost intentionally disrespectful after we asked for some of the menu pricing. Not appreciated.• the rice proportion was a bit much in both the rolls and nigiri selections…If it wasn’t for the quality of the fish and the nice location, I would have rated this place lower to be honest. Not sure if I’d go back given the plentiful options around town and the unfriendly staff member.

Not bad and a bit expensive, but maybe it’s normal around Santa Barbara.

My first experience will be my last. The customer service was non-existent and the food was waaay overpriced for the quality and portions. I can only guess this place has survived this long because of tourism.

First time trying this place. It was recommended by my brother-in-law who has been here before, and my husband has also tried it before and he liked it. It wasn't the best but it was not bad either Laura the cashier was the one that helped us, she was really nice. The spicy salmon was good I think it would've been tastier if it was a little bit warmer as well, but I have had better, however staff were wonderful and I would return to this place

My favorite place to pick up sushi on the go! Very friendly staff and the portions here are quite generous. Love the quality of the fish!
