Absolutely the best tacos I have had in this city. The menu is simple which I really appreciate, the prices are doable. Might not be the best atmosphere for some but we are here for the food, not the ambiance. Remember, they also got that food truck after the restaurant closes.

Cashier/Server was so kind and lively it felt like I was going to my cousins place to have tacos. They have a bar inside and made it very easy to stay and watch a game or two lol
Thank you for the great asada tacos. They weren’t fatty or greasy.

Luv their taco truck! I lived on 10 tacos for $10 for ever and I am forever thankful.. 🫡
Overhyped, tacos barely had any flavor. Cashier was giving me different prices and second cashier had like a poor attitude and customer service.

Sorry but this place would be 3 stars at best in east LA. The meats are the most important part of the taco, and they were very disappointing. The grilled meats were dry and bland, and the steamed ones were mushy.
The salsas are very fresh and delicious, but that does not make up for the core problem. I believe the reviewers here are gringos who prioritize the wrong things about tacos, or maybe lack a discerning palette.
I am writing this to warn anyone expecting the highest quality tacos like in LA / bay area. I recommend the street taco stand on State St and La Cumbre Rd.
Very friendly service food is very authentic mexican food very delicious!

Small taco shop off of Milpas, about a mile from the beach. Variety of tacos (15 types including head and tongue), enchiladas and other items like poloze and tacos consome. Excellent food, reasonable prices. Small dining room with 5 tables and 8 barstools.
Very good service and very delicious food.

My wife and I flew to Los Angeles in February and we rented a car. One of our destinations was Santa Barbara for the sole purpose of coming to Tacos Pipeye. It was completely worth it, the barbacoa and chicharrón tacos were to die for, the service is amazing and the selection of tacos is some of the best there is. I love how they have the salsas and onions on stand so you can apply what you want. I'd give this place 10 out of 5 stars. At the end of our lunch I told the owner that my wife and I traveled 1700 miles specifically to come here and he gave me a hug. Absolutely amazing experience.
