Ordered takeout and I got the pad thai. They straight up forgot to put the peanut sauce on the noodles. It was unseasoned vegetables and clumped rice noodles, pretty disappointed tbh
The service is outstanding! “Hudston” got us a ceiling ballon. The food was good too especially the peanut sauce.
The food at this joint is amazing and the service was incredible. Gibson went above and beyond with our table service and made for a great dinning experience.
So I ordered on Grubhub an hour before the place opened. Then the order was cancelled by Grubhub before it was supposed to be delivered. Then I ordered direct and showed up to pick up and food not ready. The staff was frustrated and unable to do the job. I will post again once I actually eat the food. They were noticeably short staffed…. Edit…after getting the food it was good. To be fair the soups were the best.
The only thing it wasn't was overcooked. Totally bland and no sauce. If this is Pad Thai, I've got CoronaVirus.
PCU is great although sometimes they sub in a thinner noodle that is not as good -- but with the supply issues plaguing the nation it’s understandable! Don’t skip the roti and mango sticky rice if they have it!Prices are super reasonable and food is reliably delicious.
Cute restaurant offering a lighter take on Thai. That being said we had the tempura green beans — would order again, but lacking seasoning. Also the drunken noodles and Panang curry. The curry was by far the star — loaded with fresh bell peppers and very flavorful (amping up the spice wouldn’t hurt though).
Fairly authentic flavors on their dishes. The Pad Thai and Penang curry are the two that make or break a Thai restaurant and they’re both great. Portion sizes are bigger and separates Tap Thai from other Thai restaurants in town, especially if you’re doing take-out.
This used to be my favorite Thai place in town, but after the last time I went both my partner and I felt very sick after eating there. We think it was Tom Kha (maybe the coconut milk had gone bad or something), but whatever menu item it was, we endured a great deal of gastrointestinal distress after eating there.
Hellla good food. The glass noodles with fried/crisp pork was the bomb. Also tried one of their special dishes which was great. Didn't take any photos unfortunately but I'll do a much more in depth review next time. Will definitely be back when in Montecito, CA.

We’re glanmping at el Camino and we have to drive 20 min to get to this restaurant because we love thai fish so much we don’t mind driving that far. The food is terrible. Calamari is so hard coz of the thick batter, pad thai is tasteless I don’t even think they put peanut butter sauce on it just lemon. The iced tea taste bland. Sweet rice with mango is ok but the rice is not fully cooked you can taste some grains that are hard but the mango is so sweet. It seems like this restaurant is not an authentic thai cuisine . And they’re so expensive. I’m from Los Angeles I hope you guys can taste Natalee thai we’re every dish they have taste exceptionally great with thai authenticity.
Awful awful. Chicken so dry you could use as a ice hockey puck. Owner so rude and I unprofessionalAnd refused toListen to me - hung upOn me. Outrageous behavior !!!Was sent a gift for my Birthday ordered MILD the fish eas so spicy it burnt the skin off inside my mouth. I couldn’t eat it . Owner refused to send me the mold version that was orderedI will not be raving about this place as Indod in the past . I wonder if they have a new chef that can’t read the word. MILD
Anyway, easily one of my favorite Thai restaurants in Santa Barbara, CA. Best dish here is the crispy pork with the Chinese broccoli but you honestly can't go wrong with any of the starred dishes there. The TAP noodle soup tastes just like hu tieu nam vang but on the sweeter side. The price is pretty decent and the service is great!!!! And the inside is adorbs. Only downside is parking lot is small and you can't park in Arby's spot sooooo you have to find street parking.
Meh… is the feeling you’re left with after an experience here. If you ask ‘how spicy is the pa nang’ you’ll hear ‘ah, it should be fine…’ what’s that mean? I asked for a medium hot and the server said, ‘well yes it should be medium..’ should be?? The dish is extremely mild and almost tasteless… though vegetables seemed fresh. The spare ribs were very good/ order that! But definitely stay away from the calamari (yes true- why did we order Calamari in a Thai place) and the salads I’m pretty sure are made with Costco lettuce. I’m being generous here with three stars- come on Tap- you really need to up your game for the prices you are charging- if you want to retain customers anyway
Got their take-out, food tastes really good!
