POISON! and INDIFFERENCE!! The owners/management are DISGUSTING. We order monthly from tap Thai in SB, but I'm sure it's the same with the other locations in Goleta. We specify NO NUTS on all of the items we purchase because of a severe allergy, but they often screw up and use nuts. WTF? What The Actual F_ _ K? We forgot to check the order the other night at pick-up, and when we called from home to let them know we got food with nuts, they put us on hold and then hung up. No call back from the owners or manager when we called the following day. This place SUCKS

This is the second time the state st store has completely screwed up an order of ours. Not only was our order missing dishes, but 3 of the 4 dishes ordered were incorrect. When we called they told us there was no manager there and three times they struggled to refund us for the incorrect food! The food quality also was not nearly as good as when they started it. Awfully run business and if you can't get simple curry dishes right, that are served out of a big pre- made bowl, then you shouldn't be in the food business!

Servers were very nice and attentive, food was quick. Curry was good. Would go again.

Yellow curry 6.72/10- this Thai curry was made with a lot of coconut milk making it incredibly creamy, could use seasoning. The ratio of rice to curry was also interesting. I will say though the portion size for the curry is huge. Jasmine tea was pretty good, imo had an oolong taste to it Actually went to the Goleta location but it won't come up on maps here... if that makes a difference

Called to ask a few dietary restriction questions about the menu for an order we were placing and received amazing help from Hudson (and the other gentleman working with him). He was so kind and helpful and made sure all of our questions were answered, and helped us make sure the order was correct according to dietary needs. Couldn't have been more courteous and kind!!!!

The staff was super nice and gave us shrimp crackers while we were waiting! I got the yellow curry and really enjoyed it. It was very warm and filling. The texture was a little on the thicker side, which I like! It's an affordable price as well.

Ordered takeout and I got the pad thai. They straight up forgot to put the peanut sauce on the noodles. It was unseasoned vegetables and clumped rice noodles, pretty disappointed tbh

Delicious and affordable! Consistently delicious with a diverse menu that is healthy and within budget.

The service is outstanding! “Hudston” got us a ceiling ballon. The food was good too especially the peanut sauce.

The food at this joint is amazing and the service was incredible. Gibson went above and beyond with our table service and made for a great dinning experience.

Been a Tap Thai fan since they opened some years ago & were originally located on De La Vina. The owner is super sweet. I love the fresh and healthy approach to all my favorite dishes. I'm not in the area much anymore, but I order through Grub Hub at least once a month or so to take a break from cooking or when family or friends are visiting in town. Protein choices are Chicken, Shrimp or Tofu. Reading some of the other reviews I must say that I also love the heavier more traditional version of Thai that I occasionally indulge in at Galanga. I personally reserve that for special occasions so as to watch my figure, I have to now in my 50's and my husband in his 60's, we can't indulge like we did in our 20's and expect to be as healthy and active as well are. I always order the TOM KHA COCONUT SOUP W/CHICKEN, TOFU HERBAL SALAD & my husband likes the SHRIMP SUMMER ROLLS and the SIMPLY FRIED RICE W/CHICKEN. The fried rice is his favorite in town because it is delicate and not greasy or overly seasoned and dark from excess sauces. Last time we had all the family in town I ordered all my favorites because I knew nothing would go to waste with all those hungry mouths to feed. My recommendations: PCU NOODLES W/SHRIMP, SPICY DRUNKEN NOODLES W/CHICKEN, PAD THAI W/CHICKEN, GLASS NOODLE SALAD, SALT AND PEPPER WINGS, PANANG CURRY WITH SHRIMP, GREEN CURRY W/CHICKEN, YELLOW CURRY W/CHICKEN. MHHH!

So I ordered on Grubhub an hour before the place opened. Then the order was cancelled by Grubhub before it was supposed to be delivered. Then I ordered direct and showed up to pick up and food not ready. The staff was frustrated and unable to do the job. I will post again once I actually eat the food. They were noticeably short staffed…. Edit…after getting the food it was good. To be fair the soups were the best.

I got the yellow curry and it was so good I've been trying all the Thai food places in town and this is the best one for sure so good!

Tap Thai is the more affordable Thai spot in town. Their pad Thai and drunken noodles are a must try! Don't forget to order a Thai iced tea.

This was our second time eating at TAP Thai, but our first time since COVID. There was only one other seated party when we arrived, but perhaps 5-7 food delivery drivers standing around. Our order was taken promptly but after that we were ignored for about 25-30 minutes. I had to get up to ask the server (who was zoned out on her phone) if we could have more water while we waited. She gave us water, but was totally unsympathetic to our wait. Then a person who came in about 20 minutes after us got his food, while we're still waiting for our appetizer. I once again got up to ask the server if they could check on our order, since at this point we've been there for 40 minutes (three total parties in the restaurant at this point). Once again, the staff were totally unsympathetic to the confusingly-long wait. Our food came out about 45 minutes after we arrived, and might have been about a 2-star meal if not for the total lack of service. Similar to other reviews here, we found the food fairly bland - a disappointment for the price - especially when there are other amazing Thai food places in town. A bright spot was the apparently-new server who took over for the original person who was on her phone. He was great and checked in with us regularly after delivering our food. Good job new guy!
