The service was exceptional, and the shrimp stuffed chile was excellent. The seabass was slightly overcooked, veggies good and mashed potatoes unexciting. The Kahlua cheesecake was really good.

My seat at the top outside gave a nice view of the harbor. The side Caesar salad was very heavy on the dressing. The salmon size was small and also had way too much sauce on the plate. The food was decent but I feel it was a bit pricey for the portion size; maybe we're paying more for the view?

View was absolutely beautiful! The table we sat at was in a great location! Hostess was very kind. Our food was not that great though :(

Came for the view and that's basically the only thing we got. Service, food and drinks were poor at best.

The restaurant food was not very good — overcooked sea bass and ahi seasoning with too much salt. The whole restaurant could use a refresh. Only highlight was the service was pretty good. Tried it for the first time and unlikely to go back. Too bad given how good the location is along with the potential.

Nice location, good service, good food. Sitting outside and watching the sunset was very nice.

The food at Anchor Rose was okay, not great. The bigger issue was trying to find food that is gluten free. They had menu items marked as GF but our server told us they were not actually gluten free. The gluten free selections were very limited. I definitely would not recommend this restaurant to a person with celiac disease.

I cannot give this more than one star as we didn't actually get to eat here! Having made a reservation for 9 people, we arrived at the correct time and were offered a table for 5. When I reminded the hostess we had made a booking, she said ‘a lot of people have come in, so we needed to seat them'. Our reservation seemed to be irrelevant to her. As there was nowhere for us to sit, we left. It was a very odd experience!

Love this restaurant. We were escorted upstairs with charme and determination. I asked for a recommendation and received the best seafood pasta I have had in a long time. The taste was unexpected and amazing. The Baby back ribs with fries were excellent and so was the sirloin steak. And the dessert was as well remarkable. I highly recommend a visit when in Santa Barbara.

I had the breakfast burrito and it was horrible. The eggs tasted disgusting and the avocado was old. The service was horrible as well. The waiter didn't come back to ask how the food was or ask if we wanted a refill on our drinks. I sat in the patio area and there was tons of flies. The hostesses was using a fly zapper to kill them.

I have never been to a restaurant where every single dish I ordered was terrible.
#1. Clams were ok, but lacked salt and flavor, it was the most decent dish out of all
#2. Clam chowder had a strange color, not enough clams, too much bacon and was too thick. It was curled. It lacked its classic seafood flavor, but a bread bowl was 10/10. I also looked at past reviews from.a year ago and their claw chowder didn't have such color and texture.
#3 steak was charged and this is what makes meat carcinogenic, its crust was weird and dry, but it was not overcooked instead.it came with the worst mashed potatoes I have ever had - not creamy, too thick.
# ahi tuna steak… crush was too dry, chewy, while the fish remained raw( as it should be) inside. Warm fish was served with cold noodles and cold horseradish mayo sauce - terrible combo of flavours and temperatures, veggies were overcooked. I have to notice that fish was fresh - it is a pity that good quality food is being wasted/ruined like that. I could not eat my food, my boyfriend ate it somehow, we felt bad about recalling the 2 main dishes.
This place has a lot of potential: it is in a beautiful location, they have good service and they have great life music. But they need a new chef who can balance flavors, temperatures, seasonings, and they need a new menu.

We started with calamari. It was not fried enough. Some parts were soft/gooey from breading. Ordered Baja tacos and fish and chips. Baja tacos were made with salmon, which was not stated on the menu. Tasted horrific with cabbage and salsa. The rice pilaf was hard, and the black beans tasted canned. Beer batter on fish was very greasy and thick breading. We sat near an outdoor window and the window frame was dirty with debris. Floors near the kitchen were dirty.

Dirty tables, food inedible, very run down. Only plus was our server was a nice young man.

Had dinner at 7:00 on a Wednesday. Not a lot of customers around so quiet. We enjoyed our meals. Service was fine. Thanks
