The Nook is such a fun and welcoming spot in Santa Barbara! The customer service is incredibly friendly, and I love their setup of ordering before seating, it makes the whole experience smooth and easy, especially when you're ready to head out after your meal.
The beer garden atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, with a full bar offering everything from craft beers to refreshing non-alcoholic options. Plus, the board games add such a playful touch while you enjoy your food.
Speaking of the food: everything was fresh and delicious! The chicken sandwich was huge, juicy, and packed with flavor, while the mac and cheese was perfectly cheesy and comforting. Definitely a place worth coming back to for good food, good vibes, and great people.

Ordered a nook burger and had to throw it away after taking one bite. The entire burger looked and tasted like it was brushed with old, overused oil, the meat was tough and tasteless just awfully unpleasant. I was hesitant to even take the first bite because of the sheen on the bun but I was hungry. Paid extra for the truffle fries, should have gone with the regular fries, waste of money: completely flavorless, with zero trace of truffle aroma or seasoning.
For the price, I expected much better. Sadly, this was more of a warning than a meal. Definitely not coming back.

We enjoyed our food at the Nook! I had the halibut tostada with a heaping stack of slaw and big ol slab of halibut! My husband had the spicy chicken sandwich and said it was delicious!

The Nook is inside the LLama Dog bar. We got to order our Angus burgers with scrumptious fries and sit at the bar and enjoy our meal with a beer. The quality of the beef is great and the burger is massive. The French fries were absolutely my favorite. Loved the open concept and ambience and music was a plus. Dog friendly!

I had the fried chicken sandwich and truffle fries. The sandwich didn't have any crunch to it and lacked flavor. Which was surprising considering it has so much going on. Like nothing in it enhances any of the flavors. They all kind of canceled each other out. Just a bit too busy for its own good. The truffle fries were really soggy and just tasted of basil. Couldn't finish them.

Disappointing. I don't normally give negative reviews to restaurants that serve good food, but this is a situation which merits it.

It is the middle of Burger week in Santa Barbara, and about 30 restaurants are serving a special $10 Burger from Thursday through Wednesday. We visited the Nook on Sunday at 5:00 p.m.

The very polite woman at the counter informed us they were sold out of the burger week special. We asked if they were serving any other burgers. She said yes the entire menu of burgers is available. We asked if any of them were being sold for the burger week price of $10 as a substitute. She said no, I'm sorry.

We have eaten here many times in the past, and in all honesty their food is very tasty. I especially recommend the lobster mac and cheese. Tater tots are good too.

Clearly this is a case of management wanting the publicity, but not embracing the concept. Hopefully in the future, if they do not want to accept the price concession, they will choose not to participate, rather than to *run out* of the only menu item that is on special and offer no replacement. In my opinion, their actions are disingenuous. Thus, I am leaving a two star review.

Lackluster food doesn’t match the cool atmosphere nor the high price. The prime rib sandwich has too thin of a piece of meat to it and was overcooked. The bratwurst had no flavor… but also had way too much mustard and the bun fell apart immediately with all the sauerkraut loaded on. Convenient though if you want hang out at Topa Topa, Lama, and Fox.
