I've loved this bar since I was in college and the current owners have kept all the charm. Great burger too!

Great dive bar! Has a cool atmosphere and the building and restaurant has a lot of history. The service was pretty good, our drink orders were taken right away. As it got later it got really busy and service was a little slower but it made sense. We both ordered the boo boo kitty and it was delicious, more alcohol forward and not overly sweet, just how we like it

Great spot. Next to Handlebar coffee. Always enjoy coming here for great drinks and egg rolls!! I find myself coming here late night for some food after many cocktails. Great vibe and nice bartenders. they really know how to make a cocktail. People are friendly too. If you haven't been before I would absolutely check it out. They have great tables to accommodate seating as well as at the bar.

Super cool place! Went for a birthday celebration.. great atmosphere. Yummy Mai Tais, small plates but generously portioned strange bites that are quirky yet delicious.. the crowd is eclectic and the atmosphere can only be described as unique.. definitely fun!

This is a great, local Santa Barbara gem! Excellent drinks from an incredibly friendly bartender and owner. We didn't eat on this trip as the restaurant gets full quickly, so get in there early! Everyone chats with everyone at the bar - great place to meet people and socialize.

The bartender Saturday was a total mess! We were at the bar for Fiesta weekend, and this Asian-looking girl was behind the bar just doing shot after shot. She was all over the place and super aggressive. It's a bummer because we've had a blast here before when we've visited town. We were having such a good time celebrating Fiesta, especially since we took the train up. But she totally killed our vibe. She assumed we were wasted after only 2 drinks and cut us off, asking for a card to hold in case tried to walk out. I worked in the service industry for 15 years and I'd never jump to conclusions about someone being drunk unless they were visibly wasted. I get it's Fiesta, but some people are just having fun. I think her judgment was way off because she was so drunk herself. The Pickle Room's reputation took a hit for sure, and we were disappointed to have brought our friends along. Overall, the experience was pretty bad. We'll have to give it another shot with a different bartender next time, because that girl was definitely NOT IT! ‍

We have come here quite often over the past few years. We normally go in on Fridays when Mel, Matt, and Chris work (the best team). We went for fiesta Saturday late afternoon/eve. Sat at the bar and there were 2 different bartenders. The guy took our order super nice and gave us our drinks. We were sitting there for 30 minutes or so, talking and laughing. When I hear the girl bartender, i later found out her name was Nicolette was taking to patron on my direct right and said "we have to take care of the "drunk" people, speaking of I need a card from you" and directs that last part to me. I was NOT intoxicated in the slightest. Like I had said we had been there 30 minutes maybe and had half a beer before going to PickleRoom. Who is she to assume I'm drunk when I'm not displaying any signs of that?! She was super rude to me and my husband, and honestly wasn't a great bartender. Her drinks were pure lime! If you don't know how to make a simple margarita hun, don't be a bartender. Matt, Chris, Mel... we'll come every night you're there, Nicolette, I know you have no clue who I am but I'm a way bigger consumer at the pickle room than those people next to me I assure you! Hope you enjoyed your 25% tip for doing absolutely nothing. Mel, Matt, Chris and Aubree for the win on saving my business! I'll turn around and walk right out if I see that snooty B in there working.

I would recommend the Pickle Room for drinks only. I had there mozzarella sticks which were good but nothing that great. I think my fiancé got a hamburger there and it was nothing great. I remember this place being better. The ambiance is nice and talks about the small Chinatown that used to exist in Santa Barbara. The place is clean and well decorated. Our bartender who took our order was also very nice.
