The worst chicken wings I’ve ever had. They were served black and powdery, totally unrecognizable and very expensive of course.

Lots of hype about fire pits here, asks several staff about it- they are self serve outside the restaurant. but we did not see one firepit lit, including the one in the restaurant itself. You cannot see the sunset from this restaurant by the way! The staff was terrific and we enjoyed our food, so that is a win experience.
I heard from a local at The Set Bar that the Pina Coladas are the best in Santa Barbara!

Food menu for lunch has nothing, it's worse than any regular hotel lobby lounge. The waiter attitude was also bad, I saw that maybe there were only 2-3 waiters in total during lunch period. I can use that money to get a real nice meal at other restaurants!
I don't know why people give The Set such low reviews. There were only a few people on staff( from what I overheard, staff was cut because i corporate party had canceled), but that didn't deter us.
My daughter had their upscale mac n cheese, I had the braised beef and creamy mashed potatoes, wife had the salmon and pilaf. All the food was excellent! Would definitely eat here again

We stayed at the Hilton Santa Barbara over Independence Day weekend. There was a limited menu at the Set the ONLY restaurant on July 4. Only 4 entrees to choose from and one dessert. We had the hamburger which had q a very small ground beef patty of not even McDonald's quality. There was a weird menu on July 5 which added braised short ribs, salmon, and RABBIT!!! No chicken dish. No steak. No shrimp. You would think at a restaurant in a “resort”, the menu selections would be better.
The Set was amazing! The servers was the best! The food was great! The ambiance was excellent. Thank you for making our day even more special.
They apparently do not take reservations for the fire tables anymore. The Hilton website takes you to opentable to make a reservation for a fire table and smores package. We did book these tables weeks in advance and even got a text a few hours to confirm the reservation. When we arrived they stated they no longer take reservations for the fire tables do not serve food out there anymore. We were very disappointed. You must order to go if you want to sit there. They assured me we could still get our smores package but once our dinner was finished but there weren't anymore tables. We had to ask someone to let us use their table. I guess they are first come first serve. People come and sit for hours so this is very disappointing you can no longer reserve them. We have been coming for years and the employees stated to me that this changes weekly. Very disappointed in this restaurant now.
Understaffed: Our hostess was our server. We had to wait forever to be seated bc she was waiting on tables.
Food/Drink: Very basic and lacked flavor.
Service: Horrible. 1) Booked a Fire Pit experience via Open Table (confirmed) but it was not reflected in their system. 2) Was told they were ‘out’ of Rose by the glass and could only order a bottle. When questioned they had 1 glass worth. 3) They were out of milk chocolate for the s’mores desert and gave us Hersheys cookies and cream instead. 4) Glass of water had lipstick stains! 5) Glasses and trash from prior patrons were left on the ledge where we were sitting.
Overall: Do NOT come here unless you want to drink bottled water and enjoy the view.

We had the best service during lunch from Omar on Tuesday and returned for dinner this evening. Karina was just as wonderful! Food was delicious!

Dinner here with my family today was the worst.
I paid money to find out why yelp's reviews were bad. The price was too expensive compared to the quality and contents of the food, and I wondered why I had to pay to eat this kind of food. Please don't make the same mistake I did.....

It wasn't the best experience. It took 30 mins to get anything to drink, 45 mins for the free chips and salsa, our order was wrong (missing meals and meals we didn't order). They kept bringing us dishes we never ordered after the fact. The burgers were overcooked and the chips over salted. It took 2 hours for a bad and expensive experience but staff were really nice.
It took about 25 minutes for the server to take our order, he did not write anything down and forgot 1 of our meals. When the food arrived, he then blamed the kitchen. The food was poor in quality.
Amazing! Beautiful view of the ocean. Food was delicious and service was great. We will definitely go back.
Dishonest about the fact that the pool is closed and the entire resort is under reservation. Beware and stay elsewhere.
