We stayed at the Hilton Santa Barbara over Independence Day weekend. There was a limited menu at the Set the ONLY restaurant on July 4. Only 4 entrees to choose from and one dessert. We had the hamburger which had q a very small ground beef patty of not even McDonald's quality. There was a weird menu on July 5 which added braised short ribs, salmon, and RABBIT!!! No chicken dish. No steak. No shrimp. You would think at a restaurant in a “resort”, the menu selections would be better.

They apparently do not take reservations for the fire tables anymore. The Hilton website takes you to opentable to make a reservation for a fire table and smores package. We did book these tables weeks in advance and even got a text a few hours to confirm the reservation. When we arrived they stated they no longer take reservations for the fire tables do not serve food out there anymore. We were very disappointed. You must order to go if you want to sit there. They assured me we could still get our smores package but once our dinner was finished but there weren't anymore tables. We had to ask someone to let us use their table. I guess they are first come first serve. People come and sit for hours so this is very disappointing you can no longer reserve them. We have been coming for years and the employees stated to me that this changes weekly. Very disappointed in this restaurant now.

We had the best service during lunch from Omar on Tuesday and returned for dinner this evening. Karina was just as wonderful! Food was delicious!

Dinner here with my family today was the worst.
I paid money to find out why yelp's reviews were bad. The price was too expensive compared to the quality and contents of the food, and I wondered why I had to pay to eat this kind of food. Please don't make the same mistake I did.....

It wasn't the best experience. It took 30 mins to get anything to drink, 45 mins for the free chips and salsa, our order was wrong (missing meals and meals we didn't order). They kept bringing us dishes we never ordered after the fact. The burgers were overcooked and the chips over salted. It took 2 hours for a bad and expensive experience but staff were really nice.

It took about 25 minutes for the server to take our order, he did not write anything down and forgot 1 of our meals. When the food arrived, he then blamed the kitchen. The food was poor in quality.

Amazing! Beautiful view of the ocean. Food was delicious and service was great. We will definitely go back.

Dishonest about the fact that the pool is closed and the entire resort is under reservation. Beware and stay elsewhere.

The fire pit experience needs some work, but the servers and food were marvelous. While we were finally able to get warm, we were counting on the fact that the website said that blankets would be available. It was pretty muddy getting to the table and everyone who came to take orders or bring food nearly slipped.

Great staff, and make sure you get the outside fire pit tables if you want s'mores for dessert!! 🤩

We had our civil ceremony lunch here with our close friends and family and we had an amazing time. From the planning process with Anthony, Assistant Director of Food and Beverage, to our waiter Jake, and Manager Sabit, the staff were all attentive and really accommodating. As soon as we got there, the staff came out and introduced themselves which we appreciated. We had one special request for a Vegan dish and the Chef went above and beyond to accommodate. Overall, the food and drinks were amazing. Huge thank you for making our special day that much more memorable. We will definitely come back. Thanks all!

We dined at a fire pit on the Fourth of July so we knew there would be noise and possibly less attentive service and what we experienced was such a pleasant surprise. The music and festivities were louder than usual given the holiday and yet we could all enjoy conversation without the fun of the event being an issue. The firepit service was exceptional as was the food. Mangers were on premises ensuring everyone was happy and we couldn't have been happier. Wonderful evening!

They overbooked the fire pits for 4th of July, so they just apologized, and gave us a table at the patio. My kids wee disappointed as they were expecting to have the s'mores experience during the fireworks show. The menu was so limited due to the holiday, but nothing to choose from, they only had hamburger, chicken sandwich and two kinds of salads.

We were confirmed through open table to be booked at a fire pit table for a 4th of July beachfront dinner but upon arrival, the hostess told us open table had over booked these tables and we would not be seated at one. Then we discovered that the regular menu had been reduced to just a few items and these were not good-dry hamburger, awful potato chips, no fish or gluten free entrees. It was disappointing. Our server was good and felt bad about our experience.
