Chill place to grab a drink and hangout

3.5 starsFood took maybe 15-20 min to get. You order at the counter. The fried fish tacos I got were ok. The fish was a bit dry and the tacos lacked flavor. The truffle fries were a bit soggy.

Nice outdoor seating and fun music (sometimes live!), with Topa Topa beers, Fox wines and Nook eats to choose from. Always enjoy coming here!

Easily one of Santa Barbara's coolest spots. New development is one thing, but redesigning an existing building is what will let our city retain its character. The Waterline is one of those buildings - and it's such a site to see. The developer successfully took its former shell and transformed it into a total work of art. Talk about giving a space a new lease on life. This venue is very large, ultra-modern, and still manages to offer the character and charm of its former glory. Everywhere you turn, there's something neat to be seen. The space is home to a small eatery, a winery, two brewhouses, a boutique, and a variety of hidden office suites. There are two well-designed side patios which may be enjoyed by patrons from all walks. The company I work for rents the space for their annual holiday party and it is always such a hit. It's large, well-lit, and just plain cool. Santa Barbara needs more of this sort of redevelopment.

I was running errands in Sb and went to The Waterline on the recommendation of a friend. Super cool spot, lots of friendly staff to help you with menu options. I went with the popular rockfish tacos! So good! Great local wines and beers. I chose a rose' after talking with the knowledgeable bartender. They also support local artists so after eating, I cruised around to check out the current installation. One featured artist is David J. Diamant. His show is Sunset Surfers. Not sure why this is reported closed. It is definitely OPEN! March 11, 2020.

Fun place to grab food and a glass of wine or beer. The shop side unfortunately closed but the building as a whole is a great spot to hang.

Crowded and hot! Food was good. Impossible burger, brisket sandwich and buttered noodles for the kids. You can order food and eat in the wine or beer tasting room. Three stars because of crowdedness and heat-not a great combo!

Torn between a 3 and a 4 star rating. We had fish tacos. The fish was well prepared. It was $14 for 3 small fish tacos. I felt for $14 they could have included rice or something that didn't have me going home still hungry . The tacos were supposed to come with pico or salsa which they didn't. They looked anemic. A piece of fish a tinny bit off cabbage and a small piece of avocado that had seen better days. I will say the flavor was good and I'm pretty sure from the looks of the other plates I saw that the food is good here. I'm going to come back try something else and update my review.

Bustling brewery spot with a cool boutique shop in the back. Definitely the most beers to choose from per square foot in the area. Worth a stop.

I've been coming for the past few years. I buy 80% of my gifts here. Fantastic collection of shops where you can drink Topa Topa beer in the shops as you browse or Fox Wine. All the events are terrific. SB needs more retail that focuses on experiences and culture like Shops at the Waterline does. Keep it up!

Love the concept and the reality of this place. It's an open indoor market type concept with something for everyone and places to eat close by. A new Santa Barbara classic, also great and convenient for holiday shopping.

This is beer point, but not a restaurant at all.
