Easy walking distance to the Lobero . Limited menu. Great service and the salad, NY steak and fries were excellent and were shared. It was plenty of food

I attended a wine dinner... Six course menu with wine pairings. The food was absolutely amazing! Each course had the chefs distinctive flare. The chef paired unusual ingredients that shined together. Fabulous evening.

My husband had horrible food poisoning after eating his steak. He was sick all evening. They also forgot to give us back our credit card... the chicken was rubbery as well. Would not recommend this restaurant.

Excellent Sunday Brunch! Beautiful setting and great service. While the menu was small, everything was perfect and the range of options would cover most tastes. I will definitely come back!

Awful, awful, awful. I have been sitting here for an hour. No food. Watered down drinks. They say the kitchen is backed up and no one is here! Never again!

We had an event here in May 2025. Food and service were great, but dealing with Jenny beforehand was terrible. The communication was inconsistent and the information we received was confusing and always changing. We were misled in regards to portions and they were not honest in what we were eventually charged. Make sure to get everything in writing!

One of my favorite restaurants in Santa Barbara! Great food, good drinks, and great atmosphere!

The food was delicious, and the service was friendly and attentive. The patio was a very comfortable and attractive dining area.

The owner John and all of the staff we encountered went way above and beyond to make our anniversary dinner very special. The food and atmosphere are fantastic. A really great overall experience and I would highly recommend!!

We found out about Intermezzo a few years back. At every visit we enjoyed their delicious food and their creativity in putting meals together. We just had some breakfast, which was equally very high in quality and tasty. We are looking forward to our next visit to Santa Barbara to come back to Intermezzo ;-)

Intermezzo is one of the only restaurants that has done everything right consistently. I love this restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious, the ambiance is great, clean and well maintained. Most of all the staff is very professional and well trained for the job.

I just can't say enough about the food and especially the desserts. You have to try this restaurant.

Ambience was lovely as always. But the dinner and wine service was the worst I have ever had at this establishment. Prime rib was overcooked, steak was not as ordered, and the sommelier did not bring wine out early enough for it to open up adequately for the meal. New waiter was kind and congenial, but had not received enough training. All in all I was extremely disappointed in the whole evening from an establishment at which I had wonderful experiences in the past.

Until this most recent dining experience, Intermezzo had what we believed was the best burger in town — their Cask Burger — and it was one of our favorite places to go with this great burger and consistent staff. We always looked forward to going there for their burgers and Cabernet. Last evening we went looking forward to our usual. Instead, the burger was served on a squishy potato bun instead of the great brioche bun that complemented it perfectly in the past. It's like purchasing a high end suit and buying a tie from a discount store. A complete mismatch. In addition, the servers were all different, and last evening's service was not what we had become used to experiencing. May need to go on a new search for a new best burger in town.

We had a wonderful dinner out in the beautiful courtyard. The food and drink were great, service was exceptional and we had a wonderful visit by the owner. Highly recommend.
